sealing battery connectors

l have some Anderson sb350 type connectors l'm going to use as quick disconnects for my winch to connect it to the battery in my truck. My question is after l crimp the cables to the connectors and install them in the plastic housing, what would you guys use to seal the back end to prevent moisture from getting in??
l tried buying some "heat shrink" type sealers made for these connectors but evidently mine are a smaller size because they are way to big

If it were me I would find the right size heat shrink tubing. They make it in every possible size known to man now. I think I stock it at my store from 1/8 all the way up to about 3 inches across before its shrunk down. That will probably be your best bet for sealing. They also make a paint on electrical tape/sealant that I have heard works pretty good.

Could you solder the joint and then fill the housing with a good ahedsive sealant like 3m 5200

I have seen the connectors but never used one or had it apart.

I used some of those on my truck and I soldered them to avoid corrosion issues.  Worked good, but needed a propane torch to do it.

First thing that comes to my mind other than heat shrink is liquid electrical tape.

I would definitely solder them.  I've been using lots of 50A Andersons for the LiFePO4 battery packs for my mobility scooters.  I solder and then heat shrink or use liquid tape.  I'd use the liquid tape after soldering for this application.
