Why is my right tire wearing on the outside?

Yeah common on 2WD truck but exempt on 4WD trucks.

For my own understanding can you explain that?

Simple. What Bill is referring to is the rubber bushing in the a-arms of the 2WD trucks that as they wear out the alignment is lost over time. Where with 4WD truck we don't have all the rubber in the suspension like 2WD it mostly a solid axle with ball joints. There is the control arms but even mine appear in very good shape yet.

The sway bar bushings and end links on all 3 of my second gens wore out first, all started squeaking and I could feel slight clunk in certain conditions as I have the same thing going on with my 05 now too but without the squeak yet.

Just wanted to thank Mike for the drywall screw trick. I found out I was toed in almost an inch :wow: . Doesn't agree with the idea of tow in inside wear, tow out outside wear but no good regardless. I'll see what happens now.

I would make sure you not pulling excessively on thee screws. It does work better with a partner help hold the tape measure between points.
