This was a nightmare to order. An account is required, WHY. Just like I knew it was going to do the password was screwed up. While pissed off I checked the no core and now I just paid 150 dollars for the hell of it. A phone number would have been to easy. If there is a number its well hid because I couldn't find it.

That’s for the invite to the forum! My name is Ryan and I live in a little town in the middle of good ol’ North Dakota. I own and operate Blue-Top Steering Gears, Inc. I have owned this business about 7-8 years now. I purchased this from my father who owned it for a few years. Blue-Top was started in late 1980s by Mr. Foster who is a brother to the current owner of a large steering gear company in Seattle, WA. So far this Bluetop box has been nice and tight but ever since I installed my truck had been hard to steer like the power steering pump is slacking or something and the box never returns to center. I did the flush as the instructions said and I love how tight the box is but I still wander around because I over correct. Would love some ideas on what is cuasing these issues?

I got the new steering Blue Top Steering Gearbox yesterday. Didn't take me much to get it installed. After getting the system filled with fluid and getting the air out of the system. Tell you the truth there isn't much difference between my old box and the Blue Top right off the bat sitting in the shop. Being my old OEM box was tight yet the Blue Top reacts the same way sitting in the shop. Now I roll out the door and get going to McCall, ID. On the highway there isn't much difference between than my OEM box and Blue Top either being you more or less keep it straight most of the time again my old box was still tight. Where the Blue Top Steering Gearbox really shines in in…

I'm going to kick this off with a rebuild thread here. Ryan @Blue-Top Steering was nice enough to set me up with the seal kit for my steering box. The only tool I had to borrow was a pitman arm puller. First thing I did was tie the steering wheel to the seat base in the center position. This is to protect the clock spring more than anything. Next I pulled the pitman arm nut and lock washer. Slipped the pitman arm over and using a 1/2 drive ratchet pulled a good load of pressure on it and smack the pitman arm a bit with a hammer to free it. Pulled a bit more and off it came. Then moved up to the 13mm socket and wobble head ratchet and spun the pinch bolt out. …
