  2. Some of you may see our postings on FB... and not know what is going on. This is what you don't know. Our daughter Sonya married Freddie from the Ivory Coast (Africa). They have a 2 year old daughter Alleah. They have been trying to adopt Freddie's niece & nephew (Freddie's brother was killed in the civil war there & their mother is struggling just to survive). In the African custom, Freddie is expected to care for his brother's children... (and he does send money back). The Ivory Coast had an election recently... which is not being followed & the country is swiftly deteriorating into violence, possibly returning to civil war. Allica (the niece) has been liv…

Hello all, I am hailing from Winter Haven, Fl. I was just given a 02 QC 2wd, and was told of this forum from a friend. Thanks for all the help Mr. Mike!

  6. Hello to everyone. I am a Retired Eng., now a small time farmer/stockman, competative shooter/gunsmith, writer, and jack of all trades. When we moved back to the farm in '99, I got a '97 dakota which has served me well, but I always wanted a "Big Boy Truck". Well, here we go. It's a 2001 24V/auto, quad cab with 135K on it and in near showroom condition. It appears to be un-modified other than "jacked up .......but not for long. It will soon have a BHAF and clean exhaust. Seems to really like 2cycle oil to season its' diet, and is tempting me to fertilize my old "shade tree", which lost it's leaves years ago. The forum has already been a great help in extending my educatio…

I've got a cute little bone stock '97 dually, thought I'd stop in and say hi. :lol:Bought it last november with a fresh head gasket and 242k on the clock. Never got the cooling system clean and it would still make coolant once in a while (oil to coolant, never the other way around). 5 speed NV4500 with a "fixed" nut failed a week later.put in a rebuild NV4500 and dual disk south bend... that lasted 18,000 miles - broke teeth on 5th. input shaft was slightly twisted.Spent a week putting an Eaton RTOO9513 in it. The .68 top gear is like swapping my 4.10s for 3.55s, I love it. Lost my transfer case though of course. I've got a divorced NP205 to put in but it needs a rebui…

Hello everyone! I am joining from Somerset, OH and looking to learn some things about my brother's 02 Ram 2500 Cummins QCSB 4x4. I am a Mopar fan myself. Grew up around Mopars, I have a 94 Chrysler Concorde with 191,000 miles on it and still going strong.

Hi Forum!Just joined this morning. Been reading as much as I can - had to replace the evaporator coil and heater core and was ignorant of A/C (obviously did not grow up here in Texas). Read as much as I could find on the internet, wound up here, seems like a great place to be.Just got the truck running. Starts, cools, heats, but it has been raining all morning and too muddy by the barn to back it out, I'll get it stuck. Thanks for letting me join and read. I hope to be able to contribute some knowledge, but truthfully y'all seem to have more of that than I do.Regards,Andrew

Hello. My name is Jason and I'm a forumoholic. I have an '05 2500 QCSB 4x4 and you can tell by the picture what I primarily use it for:cool:. Pretty much stock drivetrain wise. Planning some "light" mods to help out with towing. I do have a bunch of interior electronics mods compliments of the previous owner. NAV/DVD, headrest/sun visor monitors, and MA components, amp, subs. Glad to be here!

Already submitted a couple posts so I thought I should do the intro. Recently purchased my second Ram Turbo Diesel. In '03-'04 I had a first gen dually that came with a 30 ft 5th wheel RV. My wife & I are looking to get back into the RV scene, and we've started with the truck. Lots of new info to learn about the 24 valve machines - this seems like a good place to get smart.Been wrenching on all my own equipment for 40+ years. Aero engineeer for the Navy (F-18 support equipment). Long time hobby has been restoration of vintage British & european motorcycles, specifically Nortons, BMWs, Moto Guzzi's, and Ducatis from the '70s.Appreciate the help & look forward t…

I have used the forum since I've owned a diesel to figure out the problem and little aggravating quirks that my trucks have. I am now in a position where I think that I may be able to be active enough in a forum to be a member, which is why I have waited so long to join. So, that is about it, I am in the middle of tracking down a wiring problem on my 2001 2500 4x4, so I have to run, but will be lurking around quite often.Rgds,CB

My name is Kerley.I am a retired contractor from California and Nevada.Six years ago my best buddy died. He willed me his 1998.5 Dodge 4x4. I had it shipped from Nevada to Alabama, where we chose to retire. The dodge sat for three years. I did not really need it as I drove my 1990 Dodge Cummins/4x4 which was pretty much bullet proof. Finally I sold the 1990 and put the 1998.5 back into service. First I installed new battries and windshield wipers and serviced it completely. It ran alright but never had much energy. One day we went to town and I needed fuel. Pulled into a BP where they advertised diesel fuel. I pulled up to the diesel pump. When I flipped open the fuel doo…
