  1. Started by Chupp,

Hey guys I'm Konnor. I am from Hadley, Michigan. I am going tomorrow to pick up my 01 Dodge and am looking forward to learning more about these trucks. I have been a ford guy for a while, then tried a duramax, and its time for a cummins to say the least. Looking forward to getting to know y'all and learning some stuff! The truck I am picking up is a 2001 Dodge ram 2500 SLT quad cab long bed. It is an auto with a suncoast converter, billet input, and suncoast clutches. It has 150hp DDP injectors, Edge Juice with attitude, and an exhaust. It has 157,000 miles.

  2. Started by Diesel,

I found this forum by following a link in Mopar1973mans sig on the RV forum. Looked like a good site, and I know from being a member on CDF back in 2009 ( I think) that he has a lot of knowledge. Used to own a 99 QC dually back then, but my wife got pissed at it so I sold it and got an 05 1500 Hemi truck that got stolen 6 months later. That led to me getting a 2010 1500 Hemi truck. Well we recently got a 29 foot TT and the 1500 just wasn't big enough. A friend of mine traded in his truck on a jeep so I sold my 1500 and bought his truck . I picked it up yesterday. It's a white 06 3500 QC manual trans Big Horn 4x4 and I really like it. So Hello.

Hi, I am inheriting a 92 Cummins W250 sometime this summer. I am a professional mechanical engineer and an automotive hobbyist in my spare time. My first chore (based on discussions with the truck's current owner) will be the Borgeson steering column. This will be my first diesel, so I am looking forward to ROLLING COAL (just kidding!). Cheers.

Hey guys and gals, a forum newbie here. However, I have been lurking for about a year now. This is great site with some solid no-nonsense information! I am fairly new to the Dodge Cummins diesel but not so new to diesels. I've tinkered and built a GM 6.5 that pulls like a BBC and have nosed around a Duramax or two. I picked up an uber-clean '01 Quad-Cab Dually a year ago from a guy who needed a few bucks. My plan was to flip it for a profit; needless to say I'm still driving it occasionally and actually kinda like it! J I have a little hole-in-the-wall body shop that obliterates my freetime as I work a full time job too. I enjoy restorations, customizations an…

Hey all! I'm mostly new to the forum here though I have been lurking for a while. I have posted a couple of questions to which I got some great help. I hope to be able to add useful information as I learn more about my truck. You should see the details of it in my sig. I do have one question about the forum. It seems that I get logged out after about 3 minutes and each time I change to a different page. For example: I signed in to reply to a post in the 2nd gen forum. I had to copy and paste my reply because I had to sign in again before I could post even though I had signed in to reply. I was typing the whole time which took about 5 minutes. After posting I went …

I've been poking around here for a while and finally made an account. I bought my truck in 2012 with ~210,000 miles for $5,600. It just had the VP and lift pump replaced (albeit Airtex) a few months before I bought it. One previous owner who I've known for basically my whole life who took good care of. Never towed anything more than a 21' boat. Thanks for the wealth of information here! Invaluable resource! -Tyler

  9. Started by HayHauler,

Got a message about my account going inactive, so I wanted to post to keep it alive. Still got my 06 Flatbed, but she's been sitting a month or two due to high diesel prices. Still drives like new though. Maybe this spring/summer I can log some miles on her. I have 4 fullsize Ford Broncos in the stables, one decommissioned as a parts truck. My 96 Bronco 302/5 speed manual is a bad weather commuter, and then my 99 Chevy Metro does fair weather commuting duty. 06 Cummins seems to only get a workout for HayHauling duty, or to get oversize stuff like 10' stock panels, etc. Later

  10. Whats up all! Nick 23 from Jersey. Glad do be a part of this forum I have actually been on here for a couple months educating myself on these trucks in silence. As the title currently states I am in the market for my 1st diesel truck. After only owning 2 cars my whole life 1st was a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 (hence the username) 2nd being a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X both of them modded an built by me (although just bolt ons and minor mods such as cams) I am now in the market for my first truck. I own a quad (03 LTZ 400 I just rebuilt from the ground up) and my business requires us to move decent sized freezers and air compressors and I may be picking up …

First forum I have joined, it seems there are a lot of good intellegent people on here. I look forward to the bs'n and education. I need some help with my truck, she's my daily driver. I am getting two codes p0382,p0121. Its seems to not want to shift, its just running at 3k rpms and idles at 1k. I have replace manifold gaskets turbo gaskets and put a new exhusts with banks down pipe. I also put a new waste gate that is bigger than the original. I read on a web site to reset the apps by disconnecting the neg battery cables, let sit for 30min, hook back up and turn key to on without starting. Then slowly push the gas pedel down and slowly let it up. The problems seemed to …

Been driving Dodge 4x4 2500 diesels since '98 for my work. Had '98, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007 (6.7L slice of poop), 2010. Traded them off with 100K, drove the 2005 and 2010 to 200K. Had very good luck with all the trucks except the 2007, no way I was keeping that thing out of warranty. Put a crank seal on the 2010 at 167K.Recently sold the 2010 and bought a 2001 with 82K with the idea of driving it for my work for a year, 50-60k, than turning it into a dedicated plow truck and then maybe find another low mileage Gen 2? The 2001 is certainly different compared to the 2010, a bit louder, that's OK, feels more like a truck should. Unfortunately the fuel pump/injestor pump w…

Hello all, just found this site when I fried my quad ADR, dead battery and tried to start it, a few clicks and it was dead, didn't even try to boost it. Sold my chevy gasser for a dodge in 08, first diesel and really like it, bought an 09 jetta tdi in 12. 40 mpg, small car though. Usually try to do all my own mechanic work, clutch has been biggest job so far at 240,000 miles. I think it is on original vp, not sure though.
