Guys, I was just wondering what gauges you recommend for the truck. Fuel pressure and tranny temp are the only two I see worth spending money on. But my heaviest load maybe 10,000 pounds. Plus I have a idiot light if I get to hot. Worth the 50 dollar gauge?

Alright guys need more help again with a different product. http://www.nucmotorsports.com/dodgeparts.html After ready description it sounds as having a partial bypass filter is better then a full bypass filter. Reason being is because cold oil will not go through bypass oil filter when cold but still will go through OEM filter. Please tell me good, bads... Heck between this and the fuel filter in line filter it sounds like both will save me money in the long run... Right??

I have been thinking about getting a gauge for fuel pressure, unsure where to mount at this point. But if I get this I should be able to see if fuel has gelled since the pressure will be low. How do I know how much fuel pressure do I need? I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 6.7 cummins. Anybody recommend additives to protect engine and injectors.I heard sea foam, 2 cycle oil, diesel kleen. EVERYONE has something bad to say about it. I just rather spend more now to have less to do later in repairs.

i have a coworker that has a 07 3500 that is bone stock. he has just under 100k miles. he was complaining that he gets real poor fuel mileage. he said his best tank ever was 14MPG but is usually 10-12 empty and ~8 when pulling his cattle. he said that it doesn't have the power it did new. he was thinking about buying a used bully dog programmer. i warned him that he needs a EGT gauge before he starts adding fueling enhancers. i also suggested a compression test.also his tires were "loosing" lugs on the inside of the tread face. they were a Hankook off-road tire. i thought it was because using a off-road tire on the highway, but it was only the inside lugs. like every othe…

Wow. My buddy has a 2009 model one ton, just over the 100k mark, and unfortunately got a bad tank of fuel. Had all 6 injectors tested and they are seized up. Get a load of this..... They want 1500 PER ONE injector at dodge!!! Over $9,000 for 6 injectors!! 1/4th the cost of the whole truck. What a joke! I am going to say this now, if parts are getting this high for diesels, then I don't see how they are going to last much longer in america. So just a word of warning for anybody with a 6.7, watch out for bad fuel!

I have 160k miles on my 3/4ton truck 5 speed and have owned it since december. Whole time its had a throwout bearing noise but had no problems driving slipping shifting etc... Well since it has gotten warm last few weeks and only after i drive it say 20miles or more in the heat i have noticed it getting hard to shift into gear. you really have to push clutch all the way hard some times to get it into gear especially reverse and first once you come to a stop. Thanks for your help in advance. Chris

I just purchased the 2010 with the 6.7 engine. The block heater wasn't listed on the window sticker, but in my internet research I find some references to Dodge actually installing the heater but not including the connecting cord. Evidently the cord costs $40-50. Can any of you confirm this to be true? Thanks in advance...

Ok guys...Here goes my first post. I have been a viewer for several years and greatly appreciate all of you that have shared your knowledge here. I just purchased the 2010 for my wife to drive and I have a question regarding the 2 cycle oil diet. I use it religously in my 2001 after replacing three VP44's and 2 lift pumps (I know, I am a little slow catching on ). But with all of the emissions stuff, I am unsure if it will help or hurt. We just retired and moved to Wyoming in November and are loving it. Just need to keep these two "children" happy and fed well. Thanks in advance...

Too much New Year celebration?? Ok really, what a way to start the first Monday in 2010! Now I need some feedback. Here's what happened...Weather temps dropping this week so I moved my 2001 Dodge 3500 diesel close to the garage so I could plug in the heater last night. My truck has always had some power steering issues since day 1 (bought it used in '01 with less than 5000 miles) but nothing that I could pin point at that time. With age, I've noticed when she's cold, the power steering is not smooth and tends to growl at times unless you're accelerating (thank goodness for standard transmissions). Well last night, I cranked her and moved her about 10 feet and killed…

Has anyone built a home brew dpf delete?I'm going to do this in the spring. That thing, yes I called it a thing, it has to go.I can't have the over head tell me that the dpf is 85% full, "regen required" and go into a limp mode when I'm 16miles away or more from a road that will let me go over 50mph, with a 24ft t.t. in tow & the family on board.so,What resistors work the best?I've heard of the 330ohms or using 470ohms resistors.Have any of you done this yet or did you order a kit from someone? Next idea, finding a totaled 6.7 in the junk yard (I can dream) and cutting off the truck side plugs to attach the resistors to.

Well, I took the first step today and pulled the plug.It took longer to warm up as expected so I turned on the engine brake and engaged the high idle ( ambient temp 60*). Engine light came on rite at start up. (code, egr voltage low)Ran the same other than my millage went up an easy 3mpg.Being rather curious, I removed the MAP sensor that sits right on top of the air horn next to the egr and it was covers with soot, about the thickness of 3 sheets of note book paper. Not having ant cleaner I just gently wiped it off and reinstalled it.Ho ya millage, 2353miso what is next find some RxR tracks and see if the dpf will fall off?Where do I get the plugs to build my foolers with…
