Well Gang... Timbo gave me a Timbo APPS sensor to install on my truck and try out. So I'll tell this much its built much better than the factory $400 dollar APPS is! I will say it exhaust brake and high idle ready. This APPS sensor has no effect on these options and will continue to work as usual. What I love about the Timbo APPS sensor is the fact there is no longer a need to hit a particular voltage for the APPS to function correctly or probing the PCM or ECM sockets.. And for you Timbo you need some serious Props for coming up with a simple fix for our trucks! My hats off to you sir! But Here is my quick version write up of how to install a Timbo APPS sensor. 1…

Hey,Before anyone ask I have a needle valve and a Autometer fuel pressure reducer which is a fitting with a small hole in the middle. That setup has worked fine for several months and was working fine after I installed the VP and injectors for about two months.Recently I noticed the fuel pressure gauge start shaking around and dropping down on pressure, a few PSI at most. I changed the fuel filter yesterday and that seemed to fix it for a few miles (5), but today after I down 2-3 miles down the road it started it again!!!!:thud:I played with the needle valve and it seemed when I closed it down more the shaking settled, however, it is still there and I bet as soon as I tak…

Ok here is anew question you guys may be able to help me with. My return line coming from the brass"T" is leaking right at where the rubber hose coupling meets the metal tube. Is it possible to completely do away with the coupler and just cut the hose and just ad a clamp to it, or does it need the fancy coupler??

Hey everyone, I'm new to this site. I came across it after trying to figure out some issues I've been having with my '01 24v and am hoping someone could provide me with some insight. Now here's the problem:Today I was driving my '01 24v (mods in signature) and everything was perfectly normal. I then shut it off and about two hours later started it up. When I started it up again, the water temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, and tach were all not working. The truck was running and idling perfectly fine and the check engine light did not come on. I did notice that when I turned the key to the start position, the oil pressure and water temperature gauge both twitched, so …

Having a drivability problem (98.5/24V/4sd auto/4x4/4.10 gear) I’m losing about 200 rpms at speed. Feels like its losing torque converter lock up at about 70 mph. Lock up is obvious and strong at 45 mph but at 70 the rpms will fluctuate between 2100 and 2400 with no change in speed. Changed out the tcc solenoid/over drive solenoid, governor solenoid and governor pressure sensor no change. Installed manual tcc switch, sitting still, truck in drive flipped the switch and killed the engine but no change in lock up at speed. Some lose in fuel economy, about 1mpg. Took it to a transmission shop they said they couldn’t find anything wrong, computer commands lock up at the right…

I f overflow valve opens at 14lbs then with stock lift pump how can it open to circulate and cool the pump? And speaking of cooling the pump, can my Edge Ez be causing my vp44 to get hot and cause failure. I now have a new style Edge Ez with the power switch in the cab. The old Edge Ez had corrosion inside the box so they sent me a new one for 99.00. Could the corrosion cause a short or cause pump failure. I am still looking for anything to explain pump failure. I have a list of people 9 mile long that tell me I weld on my 01 bed all the time and no problems.

Had an issue with brakes start up last night and today. When applying the brakes and almost to a stop (Maybe 5mph), it feels like the ABS is kicking on? this in on dry pavement. not traction issues. Of course when this happens stopping distance goes wayyy up! I'm not really sure what to check. Wheel speed sensor maybe?? Any ideas??

HowdyMy third post, yee ha. I did my research, made sure I had the correct coolant, followed the procedure and turned the engine on to get vacum to turn heater on. I drained it but when I refilled it, it only took 4 gallons. I was told with refill, it was 5 to 5.5 gallons. Any thoughts? also, some FYI, I had to replace my ball joints, and track bar at 60,000 miles. I put Moogs on so am hoping these will last. MarkFlagstaff, AZ

Im going to replace my 7mm nozzle gaskets ( 1.5mm) in my 01 Dodge Cummins, because i think one of them is leaking causing my rough idle at first intial start up. I have a question on the installation parts. Some people are telling me I should also replace 6 banjo connector gaskets ans 6 square cut o-rings. What are these two other ones? Do they mean the square cut o-rings are the connector o-rings? The banjo connectors I have no clue what they are, maybe one of you know what they are.

Today I had to do a repair to my fuel return line coming off of the VP at the pressure regulating banjo. The steel tube cracked where it is pressed into the banjo. I was 40 miles away from home, luckily I had an old washing machine hose, and some SS clamps in the truck. Made the repair and ordered the new part over night from Cummins. I pulled in, and smelled fuel, the customer standing out side my truck confirmed this I am sure it happened from replacing the VP 44 2 times in a year, it did bend as I turned out the banjo bolt that last time, as I recall. ---------- Post added 03-10-2010 at 11:56 AM ---------- Previous post was 03-09-2010 at 05:27 PM ---------- …
