And yes I am still fighting my self weather to buy a vp44 or not. Some of you know what is going on with my truck,it is such a night mare I dont even wont to go there. But anyway here goes, rpm drop hard when shifting and even harder when AC is on. It drops so hard and fast that when AC is on and you kick it in nuteral coming to stop sign it will almost die.

Well I found a way to adjust the fuel pressure upwards on my truck. I started out with 16-17 PSI when I first installed it nearly a year ago. But now the pressure slipped down to about 14-15 PSI. I had some time on my hands a found a way to adjust the fuel pressure. Adjusting Shim... I was digging around the shop and found a exactly prefect fitting washer that doesn't interfer with fuel flow and fits inside the pump. Its a cheap 5/16" flat washer but you going to need to match it up against the fitting to bet sure it not blocking the hole nor too large for the fitting. This is stuffed back in behind the return line fitting. Order of install... Ball, Spring, Washer, Fitt…

Hi Guys,I've just been using an extra large cresent wrench to loosen & tighten my plug, & being very careful not to round off the corners. My sockets only go up to an inch or so in standard & 24mm in metric. The next time I go to the tool store I'd like to purchase a dedicated 6 point socket just for the plug.I also saw a magnet that attaches to the oil filter in one of my catalogs, do the work? I think most of the stuff getting in the oil is non-magnetic anyhow! Thanks,Dave

I am looking for a good quality magnetic oil pan drain plug for my wife's 2001. I have one of the Geno's Garage magnetic oil drain plugs on my truck which is a very good plug but the magnet is kinda weak. It does OK. Does anyone know of any other good quality magnetic oil pan drain plugs? I ordered one from Power **** Racing on ebay. The magnet is really strong but the plug is not the right size and is junk. Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

I'm going to point out to everyone there is NO WAY to have just a P1693 code present during error code dumping. Yes the P1693 is a companion code and has no really meaning but... "This code indicates there is more code present in the other computer" So if the P1693 is in the P PCU that means there is more codes present in the P ECU. So if there is a P1693 in the P ECU that means there is more codes present in the P PCU. Then even in rare cases seeing the P1693 code in both computers pointing out that both computers have codes. But there is NO WAY for the P1693 to be the only codes present during error code dump. It's totally impossible! The reason I'm posting this is …

Been haveing problems for a long time. The eng. surges eradict but only slightly. When at hwy speed say 65 you let off and rmp get to about 1500 then put it in nuteral rpm drop quick to about 700 then pick back up,if A/C is on it almost dies. No white smoke no black smoke fuel mileage is normal. And when you rev up the eng. then it starts droping it has a little rev up right before idle. I here common rail motors do this, why would a vp motor do this. I changed the inj. to 75 hp and it started this so I had rv 275's rebuilt and put them back in and still the same no change.I dont no if this means anything but rpm gauge bounces a little at idle. Also I loosen inj. lines so…

Should a BHAF increase the performance on a stock truck, or is a chip required to take advantage of the increased air flow? I installed a BHAF, and the three MPG calcs have dropped 1 MPG. Could be normal "noise" in the MPG calcs, but after three tanks I expected to see some kind of increase. - djb

Anyone using the Transfer Flow toolbox/fuel tank combo? Made a deal with a gent here in town last week and now I have a 50 gallon unit sitting in the back of the truck.Have not hooked it up yet and playing with options.First option is to hook it up using their computer display and enjoy. It monitors the fuel level of the main tank then adds fuel as needed in 5 gallon slugs.Had also wondered about just using it as an Aux fuel tank and putting a "on/off" stitch and controlling the flow manually. Before I do this, wondered if anyone else on the board had done this and had any suggestions or tips.Thx,FT

Just spent the afternoon installing most of the Edge w/Attitude on my 2002 Dodge. Most of it was pretty easy but getting to some of the sensor plugs was not real easy, and one of them was hidden under the LP pump.I did not hook up the sensors for the VP-44, transmission temp and EGT. Ran out of time to drill the exhaust manifold for the EGT and will do it later. I have a 6 speed manual tranny so not real worried about the transmission temps. As well I never tow anything (yet) so feel that the temps are fine. As for the VP-44 wire, want to drive it in the #1 setting for a while and see how it does. As I do not tow am not looking for lots more power and the wire to the VP is…
