i found water on both driver and passenger sides where i tracked it back coming from underneath the door plastics where it appears to be running down the window channels and falling through the forward most hole in the door panel. i replaced the window channel felt, and both inner and outer window sweeps with no luck. sitting inside the truck i can watch water running down both window channels but since the front access hole in the door panel is much larger and lower, it seems to only be making it through that one. Has anyone else dealt with this situation before? Thank you. 2001 dodge ram eclb 6spd, 2wd

Replaced my heater core today. Reminded me of divorce court. Nothing seems to be going your way, obstacles popping up repeatedly, then suddenly it's over and a weight is lifted. Really hope it doesn't leak. Used a swivel tube core. Can't run it till tomorrow. Had to order new heater hoses. My carpet was damp and I couldn't for the life of me find the leak letting rainwater in. Then it dawned on me, I needed to replace this last year but with multiple family members dieing unexpectedly and my wife battling cancer, (successfully), it slipped through the cracks. 2019 was a long year. Hope I don't ever have to do it again, but it sure feels good to do it yourself. Thanks to m…

  3. Looking to replace control arms on a couple old 2nd gens. I am curious to know what experiences you guys have had with different aftermarket control arms? Good / bad or any advice you think a guy should know while searching. The trucks are staying stock so no lifts no big tires still daily driven work trucks. My thinking is if i am going to replace them i might as well get something better then stock. Also one of the trucks the excentric hole is wallowed out a bit from being run lose at some point. Its probably not the best to expect it to adjust correctly anymore. That one is mostly why i think i could get away with adjustable control arms. Otherwise non adjustable ones …

I've started a little project and in need of the out put voltage/cycle frequency mapped at different speeds for the RE47 output shaft speed sensor to the PCM, the rear axle speed sensor to the ABS controller, or the ABS to the PCM; also the differential size of the truck the info was obtained from. I know this is a shot in the dark but what the hell. Thanks

  6. I happened to come across this video on YouTube and found it very informative. I'm guilty of some of the mistakes show in the video, I never gave it much thought before.

The guy that runs the place got in a little trouble for complaining about a customers dress code. I don't know exactly what it was about, but I do have an imagination Lol...... So now I'm headed to 'Redneck Radiator' (not the real name) for repairs since the guy does good work. I forgot I had work done there before and was a straight shooter.

Well gang... I got a write now for the CCD netwrok and how it operates. So for those of you that have the CCD error on your overhead console and weird problems with the ABS/Brake lights and maybe the gauge cluster I would day its a CCD network problem... So go here and read up... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/ccd/ccd.htm

Maybe this will save someone here some trouble. I have an A.R.E contractor cap on the truck and have never been able to get the third brake light to work without it flashing when a turn signal was turned on. I finally called a different dealer and the Tech knew exactly what I needed to know. In the main harness that feeds the tail of the truck, drivers side by the spare tire, there is a wire with a tag labeled "CHMSL" that is either white/orange or white/tan.

2001 Dodge 2500 Cummins, automatic, 4X4. Stalked this forum for awhile. Had the dreaded transmission lock, unlock problem. Burnt up trans so put in a reman. Rerouted the grounds per mopar1973man instructions. I knew it could be done but needed pics. Many thanks. Fixed that issue.. Charging system decided to work intermittent so double checked all wiring. No issues. Also installed 2 new batteries. Decided it was PCM so installed an external voltage regulator cutting out the PCM in that circuit. (Hate the way Dodge decided to route the alternator and the TCM together.) No charge. Changed the fuses for the alternator. Bench tested the alternator and it showed good but go…

So, my '97 3500's airbag light is on. I assumed it was the clockspring, as that is a common issue that I've experienced in the past. I ordered a new one, and it arrived yesterday.Last night, I pulled the steering wheel. Low and behold, the clockspring was trashed..So, I replaced it with the new one.Started the truck up, AIRBAG light comes on, then goes out!!...Then came back on and stayed on.. :mad:Dagnabbit.. I need this fixed so I can get the truck inspected.. I printed off the wiring diagram, and the device components are pretty straight-forward:control moduleleft sensorright sensorclockspringdash lightIIRC, the airbag is 2ohm resistance.. Can anyone verify t…
