Well I am missing a bolt on my gearbox I found out yesterday when I noticed doing the power steering flush on my truck that the damn gear box was coming off the frame slightly. I found that this is the bolt I need but all of the local hardware store and even Fastenal doesn't carry this bolt. Does anyone have one of these laying around or at least know where I can get one besides the dealership?

Hey guys and gals. Over the next week or so I am going to start taking care of some preventative maintenance stuff on the Ram. I am looking at flushing the power steering, brakes, and changing the transmission fluid. Those are the only fluids I havent changed since I have owned the truck so I have no idea how old they are. Does anyone know about how much power steering fluid it will take to flush and refill? Also how much to flush the brake system front to back? I am going to switch the power steering fluid over to Amsoil full synthetic and the brake system I just put synthetic DOT 3 back in. I will try to get a hold of Amsoil synchromesh for the tranny. Thank…

I have a '99 3500 dually, and I just noticed that all of my marker lights are out. This includes the ones on top of the cab, the ones on the rear fenders, and the ones on the tailgate. All of the regular parking lights work (fronts inside the blinker assemblies & tail lights) and the dash lights too. I suspect that a fuse has blown but I can't decipher the legends on the fuse box covers. Is there a seperate fuse for the marker lights, & if so, where would it be located? Thanks for the help, Joe in St Louis

l have some Anderson sb350 type connectors l'm going to use as quick disconnects for my winch to connect it to the battery in my truck. My question is after l crimp the cables to the connectors and install them in the plastic housing, what would you guys use to seal the back end to prevent moisture from getting in?? l tried buying some "heat shrink" type sealers made for these connectors but evidently mine are a smaller size because they are way to big Thanks

The weather is soon going to be hot here in the low country of SC, and the inside of my cab won't be any cooler. Here's the issue: Most of the time (95%), my A/C just blows hot air regardless of where the temperature control knob is. If I have been driving for a while, especially on the highway, the A/C might start blowing nice cold air. I never get too excited because soon after that, I will hear a single pop noise under the hood and the air gets hot again. This pop noise usually occurs when I am slowing down. I'm not sure if that is just coincidence, though. I know nothing about a/c systems, but it is killing me not even knowing what is causing this. Any an…

  8. Does anybody have a preffered dealer that they use? I found one dealer here where you can get the FF5617 for 12$ and the FS19768 Water Seperator for 30$ http://partstore.caseih.com/us/ValleyImplement/filters-c1297.html Was just curious where the vast majority of air dog users are getting their filters?

Hey everyone, Ive got a 99 2500 24v cummins, nv4500 tranny, edge comp box, 125 injectors, and a fass 150 fuel system. Ive got a few questions about my gauges, they are all autometer cobalts. the EGT and boost ones work fine. the fuel pressure one has not worked since I bought the truck. Ive been messing with it lately to see whats wrong, and heres what ive tried to do. When I first turn the key on, the gauge goes a little below the zero mark and dose the calibration. I unplugged the harness from the sender,(the sender is ~2 months old and has a snubber before it), when I unplugged it the gauge slowly pegged its self out. I think I read that it means its groun…

My head light won't shut off , only head lights not the tail light or cab lights, and my high beam staying on, and the blue light comes on in the inside. I have to pull the fuse to shut them off but only one fuse not both.

I find it strange that both of my rear calipers are dragging. I smelled brakes and stopped to check them out. Both rear hot. Parking brake not on. Recently replaced pads and rotors. Sounds like caliper problems, but both at the same time? Got home but the calipers were so hot that they'ed sizzle when you spit on them. Smoking. More left than right but both hot and dragging. Would this be calipers of portioner valve?

  12. 97 2500 CTD- I've got a rear parking light out on the driver side, turn signal and brake light are fine, All other park lights come on as normal. I know my headlight switch is worn some because if I pull the switch out to turn on the headlights some times I have to jiggle it to get the headlights to come on. Could a worn out headlight switch cause that one park light not to come on ?

I bought the torque pro app a while back to use on some of the gassers I work on and would like to use it on the Cummins. To get it to work properly and have full functionality I need the Chrysler specific PID`s and there parameters. Does anyone now where I can find them?

  14. My scangauge every now and then loses its connection. If I wiggle the OBDII port, the scangauge will come on and just say "Connecting..." for a while then shut back off. It is getting kind of annoying because it'll reset itself and all my settings go back to the default settings -- which makes getting real MPG numbers very difficult :banghead: Has anyone come across this or know of any solutions? Thanks, Ty

  15. So, I decided to build a relay harness for my headlights. I've heard people have had good luck with getting more light output so i decided to give it a go. With the harness installed, only the driver headlight works. It looks much brighter, but one light wont cut it! LOL. High and low beam have the same result. The high beam indicator is on with the high beams but goes off with the lows, like its supposed to. I used the Low+ and Common from one side on the relay for the low beams, then I used the High+ and Common from the other side to trigger the Highbeam relay. The reason I used the common from the OEM harness is these headlighs are 99% of the time ground switc…

My weep hole has a good leak, it drained the entire recovery bottle in a one hour road trip. Anyways, gates/NAPA brand are only about $40 where a cummins water pump is over $100. Go factory or aftermarket? Thanks

  19. I want to get a snow plow for my truck (came with plow package). My truck is L-O-N-G so not ideal but I own it. I have a couple of long runs so need full angle. How big a blade to I really need to push the snow outside the wheel track? Contrary to commercial plowing where a wider cut is time & time is money... in tight quarters a smaller blade has advantages. I'd like a poly plow to get the no rust (at least on that part) and lighter weight but cost is a big factor too. I'd need a spare set of rims & serious winter tires...

  20. i have recently noticed that when only the 4 wheel drive is engaged that the front end makes a popping sound and feels like it is hopping when i turn to the right or left. Was wondering what could cause this problem.
