  4. I have been working closely with Michael (www.mopar1973man.com) & Jacob (Jkidd AKA www.dieselautopower.com) to come up with a simple & user friendly switch setup for distribution. I will have final pictures up at the beginning of next week for the faceplate. There will be 2 mounting options: 1. Mounted in the cubby hole under the airbag switch with a professionally engraved mounting plate. It will involve removing the dash surround (CAREFULLY) & 3 screws to pull the cubby, then install the plate with the same 3 screws. You can always return it to stock for warmer times, or resale. THIS option will be the 1st release. 2. A 2" round unit to fit to a st…

  5. Ok so as the title say's after my first test run with my new camper. Which i have posted about in another thread in the trailer & RV section. Over all the truck did good had plenty of power to hold 5th gear on flat ground with enough power in reserve to speed up for a long hill. But on those 6% hill's sent me from 5th at 55 mph and 22psi @900 d EGT's to at the top of the hill 3rd at 38-40 mph and 31 psi at 1000-1100 d EGT's. I really couldn't give it more pedal which i had a whole lot of but the egt would jump in a heart beat to yellow but i never got over 1100. So while i was down at the lake i read my Diesel Power mag and would like to hear some of ya'lls thought's …

I've got 75hp sticks and the edge comp. 5x5 gives me 120 horsies. That puts up there in the horse range, but my turbo is not going to use that much to make all that power. I would like to better match this with a turbo but have no idea which one would be right for me? I would like to shy away from having to do head studs, etc.I'm also hoping it will raise my mpg's back up as well? I do plan on an exhaust brake and I dunno if a 4" exhaust would be worth doing either?

  10. Here's my story... You can't swing a dead cat on any cummins forum without hearing about fuel pressure to the dreaded vp44, I get it and after much reading understand the pay a little now or a lot later situation. So After installing a fuel pressure gauge (discovered importance from same forums) I was appalled to find out I had 8psi at idle and approaching 0psi at wot... Son of a.... Ok clam down, what's the next step? Swap out the lift pump, dooh it's in the tank and who likes dropping a fuel tank. I've reading endlessly about airdog etc pumps and think that's what I need but what about my pump being in the tank... And damn they're expensive. So here's what I did and …

My Banks system seems to be causing me some problems. Enough that I have removed it and am seeing some improvements in performance. The system came with an EGT and boost gauge both connected thru the Ottomind tuner. They neither one work now since I have removed the tuner. I will be driving back home in about 2 weeks and must travel thru the Blue Ridge to get home and I would like to at least get the EGT working. Would any of yall have an idea of how to wire the gauge to the thermo couple so it works?

  12. Announcement: I will start producing a combination high idle/3 cyl high idle/MPG fooler box in a quality manner. This will not be a 1 time thing. I am going to order in bulk & produce probably 25 at a time. All plug & play with a small durable weatherproof connector to go through the firewall. ECT & IAT wiring will be OEM style plugs so that you do not have to cut & splice the harness. It'll be similar to the MAP sensor harness on a tuner or boost fooler:Unplug connector from sensor, plug in HI/MPG plug to sensor & plug in HI/MPG plug to truck's harness.I am trying to work with a well known diesel performance distributor, so that it will always be…

Would new injectors quiet down my rig? When I run 2 cycle oil at the specified ration it's a little quieter. But still have a clicking sound almost like a lifter sound on a gas motor with low oil. Lol. Or like a cracked exhaust manifold sound. No rough idle though. So I don't believe that an injector is inoperative. Just wondering what to expect with new injectors. Almost 180k miles now. Will they give me better fuel economy? My primary objective besides reliability.

Hey guys, got me an edge comp, again! 98whitelightnin had an edge comp left over after his p7100 swap and was patient enough to wait for me to get the funds to him to get it from him! Shout out to you, buddy! :hyper:I have a couple questions for the rest of you guys' though.1. The box is a gold color. I'm confused? The one I used to own was a black color. Does this mean anything?2. I got rid of my edge comp after I rebuilt my tranny. Trans shop owner told me to get rid of it as I will smoke my tranny if I use it again. Although after reading, I kicked myself for getting rid of it as it showed to benefit me.But now, after having the tranny rebuilt and pulling my toyhauler,…

  17. I see that Geno's carries a bolt in after drilling transmission pan adapter to install a temperature sender. Seems you drill a hole in the tin pan and install the compression fitting. Does this sounds like a viable option to buying an after market aluminum pan for a couple three hundred bucks? My transmission is due for service and seems like a good time to add the temp gauge.

I know there has been talk about how few times an ECM goes out, not to worry about the engine heat and where it's mounted and so on. Except isn't it getting harder to find a good reliable one? Getting it flashed properly can be a problem also, I've heard. Then you have a few ECM rebuilders/ repair companies sending off faulty units. Sometimes being a crap shoot trying to get a good one. Some have reported bad experiences while their truck sits for days sending units back and forth till they get one that works. Now I have been Googling engine heat, ECMS and problems... finding reports about how heat does affect them. One ECM supplier reporting that the engine heat is the bi…
