In the next couple of weeks I'll be pulling the failing transmission out of my truck for a rebuild, and while its out I want to upgrade the injectors. I'm not looking for anything crazy just a nice towing injector, so between the 50 and 75hp rating. I realize that power all revolves around other mods, but take for example 75 horse injectors. Are they in fact good for at least 75 horse?

I thought I was having a problem with them once so I sent them back to Lee to see if there was a problem, he sent back a new set within a few days and problem still persists. Turned out to be my ECM making a puff of white smoke on startup. My buddy has also ran several sets in DD and his pull truck, currently running a set of 5x.025. I have a set of JL Machine in my 95 and they are great too!

Never hear of an ECM over fueling at start up. Typically an IAT sensor, sticking injector or wiring problem would be the commanding factor with this issue. Interesting to know that an ECM could potentially cause this.

What injector size is on the 24 valve truck?

I believe stock is a 7x.008

Was the stock injector on the truck when it did it?

I believe stock was 7x.0075.

No, it had Contagious built 7x.010. It had a white puff with both sets but stopped after changing the ecm

Definitely an odd one. Going to put that in the notes pile for sure.

silly question but when you guys are talking 7x.008 or 7x.010, is that the number of holes and diameter of the holes in each injector?
