Anybody running a set of Toyos? Mine are about a year old and got maybe 4k on them. Today I noticed a crak between lugs. Bought them with good reviews and made in USA and now this. Just got a set of these last week for my dad and they say made in Japan so not sure what's going on.

I have pretty much given up on buying anything that's foreign made. Take a look into the state of this nations steel industry and you'll understand part of my reasoning. Think twice about your purchases and where they come from. Ra Ra Ra...Merica

Anyhow, here is a picture of my well worn American made tires from 2009. Some dryrot yes but no big cracks.

Looks like a Firestone Transforce AT tread pattern.

Part of the reason I bought Toyo is they were advertised as made in USA, I dint do good enough research I guess, tires do say made in USA but apparently by Japanese company. It was a bit weird that USA company would pic a oriental name but now I see why, it's not a USA company. But I got to say that Japanese are hard working people and would expect a good product from them. Times shure changed in past 20 years.

New Toyo tires I just got for my dad are also made in japan they have several locations, I just didn't know that till few days ago. Not sure if I'll buy another set of Toyo's again.

Toyo bought Nitto some years ago they could have been produced in that factory.
