Has any one used the polyurethane motor mount inserts? Are thay worth it I'm starting to get more motor movement  but after 16 years I figure the  mount rubber is getting tired as well as the trans mount

Surprisingly, after 188K my motor mounts looked perfect. Literally didn't look like the rubber was dry rotting or cracking at all. It had seen quite a bit of power through it as well. Trans mount was the same thing. How can you tell there's movement?

I can tell when I get in it that it moves more than it use to, I also looked at the motor mounts and can see where they are sagging also see excessive cracking in the trans mount rubber

I guess I'm not sure how you see the motor moving while you drive   Just messing.

Anyway, with how long the stock ones have lasted, I would go back with the stock ones. That's just me though.

I can see the shifter move about 4 to 5 in when it spools up, I know some movement is normal but that seems excessive. And I have checked all bolts . But could just stick a friend under the hood while driving to watch:burnout:

4wd shifter or transmission?

This is what mine was doing without traction bars. There was just so much torque on the axle it was shoving the driveshaft forward, and there was enough pressure on the splines it didn't want to slip, so it shoved the Tcase upward.

Yeah, I'd get that fixed ASAP! Motor mounts are a pain, but they're doable.

If you could write us an article on doing motor mounts it'd be awesome for the site!

OK after researching I can't find full replacement mounts endless I get aftermarket performance mounts and that is very pricy and over kill for my truck, I'm thinking of trying the polyurethane inserts, I've used these on my small car and had good results, when I get to do them I'll do a write up on it

Did you end up replacing the mounts, if so what did you use? I need to do the same to mine (at least driver side)
