I am having a hard time deciding to so a

 

• Single or dual disk clutch?

• Which brand? 

•Weather or not to get a new flywheel?

• If I should get the upgraded hydraulics?

 

I mainly tow 6-7k 6-10 days a month. 

 

No further mods (Unless something breaks):lol3:

    I've always done my own clutch installs. I'm very critical about the torquing of the bolts, alignment, and even the installing of the transmission again. Alot of little spots where things can go wrong

  • Speaking of which Dripley, I ended up installing those 2 single disk valair clutches identical to your old one and so far nothing to complain about what so ever, feels and sounds like stock, minus the

  • Could be they forgot to remove the washer from the pivot ball.

I have the Southbend SB13125-OK-HD.  Single organic disc, new flywheel, good to about 450 hp.  I installed the SB hydraulics as well and the clutch pedal is almost as light as the stock clutch was.  Yes the aftermarket hydraulics are not necessary but they are also built intent to apply more pressure on the clutch fork with less pressure exerted by your foot, so Its totally up to you whether thats important.

I gave my clutch the recommended 500 miles of around town driving before I hooked up to my trailer. :thumbup2:

With my new clutch and hydraulics in my clutch pedal is actually easier than stock.
