I have 4 wheel disc. Parking brake pedal is getting close to the floor. Which way do I turn the adjusters to tighten the parking brake shoes?

Here is what I wrote down in my notes for my 02.

 

For left side adjuster, turn star wheel tooth up.

For right side adjuster, turn star wheel tooth down.

Another way... Always turn the starwheel away from the axle to tighten.

I did mine last week end and could not remember which way to turn them. I did not take long to figure it out though.
