Found a replacement fuel tank for 2001 3/4 ton.  It came with 3 rocks about 3/4 of inch by 3/4.  My first thought was kids?  Then again I wonder if the rocks were put in tank to slide around the bottom to keep it clean.  Wondering if they were put in on purpose?

Your thoughts... have you ever heard of this before?

Good bet right there... Being diesel fuel tank typically don't get dirty if you getting good clean fuel without water. After 15 years I know the inside of my fuel tank is still clean. No, I do not use

No, I do not use fuel cleaners. No, I do not use biofuels. Petroleum diesel is not dirty if you buying from quality places.

I have not looked in mine for 150k. When I was in there them the only dirt i saw was sloshing around with the fuel, nothing stuck to the tank. I know I have run some bio in it but dont have a clue how much. Bio seems to be a little more common out on the left coast.

Cant see how rocks would have got in there other than on purpose.
