I would suggest starting with flashing the ECM for a manual transmission. If you have a smarty, it can be done that way.

As far as I know Smarty is the only one you can do the flash with.

Bought Smarty did not say anything about choosing a transmission

You need to get the file from Smarty. Bob Wagner is who you need to contact.
