Posted February 4, 20187 yr I just have a quick question iam installing mechanical FPG and i just want to know if i have do do both snubber valve and neddle valve or just one be good enough ? thank you
February 4, 20187 yr I think just one would do the job. I have the needle valve on mine. You don't need to open the needle valve very much. Maybe 1/4 to 1/2 a turn at most. I've never used the snubber
February 4, 20187 yr I don't have one either just the needle valve. I am however going to put one on when this summer when I rebuild or replace my valve. That being said the needle valve alone has worked fine for many years I am just going for the added protection while I am in there.
February 4, 20187 yr I'd use both if you have them both, or if just one I'd go with needle valve, mine is barely cracked open.
February 4, 20187 yr While it may be unnecessary, I have both, I also used commercial air brake line from the snubber to the gauge after mopar1973mans recommendation.
March 11, 20187 yr I just installed a marshal oil filled gauge on my 2001 yesterday I used glowshift barb fitting and a 72" steel braided 3an hose works great, oil filled gauges don't need a snubbed. Stock intank lift pump does 12 psi 7 at cruz and 0 to 2 psi at full throttle...lol . Fass 95g next weekend.
