The truck I bought has a 6" lift. I think the front is ok, but the rear has huge blocks instead of springs.

I don't like it. Any recommendations? Links to the right springs would be appreciated.

Your springs look way different than mine as well.... Hmmm...

They have changed over the years. Mine is an 02 2500 with the over load spring on top. My 96 had a different spring pack with no overloads. Nothing wrong with either set up.

If you look at the second pic, there are 2 blocks... The smaller one is the same as on my other stock height Ram 2500... This truck is definitely lifted. (Silver truck is old truck, white one is new truck. Both 99 2500's, the silver one seems more heavy duty. It's got a posi rear end, and I think the springs are different as well...)

It has definitely been leveled in the front. My rear blocks are 5" tall from the factory just t give you an idea of stock. Not sure how much they vary from year to year. 9

When I look between both of my 99's, they have the same small block, with the snubber catch. The white 99 has the big block in addition... Also, in that pick, there are 5 wheels and tires in the bed, plus the headache rack it sort of heavy too. It's sagging a little from empty.

 

But, I have digressed... I'd like to ditch this blocks for re-arced springs... I just don't like the idea of 400hp/800ftlb going through that axle, and having all that leverage on the springs... Seems it would get a lot of spring wrap.

Also, the 20" wheels kind of throw off the visual as well... Those are 35"or36" tires... I forgot the actual size...

That's something I don't like about leveled trucks. It does not take much to make them look squatted. I put my 5th wheel on mine and the truck sits level.

How about traction BARS? Are both of your trucks 4X4?

I haven't looked into traction bars yet. This truck doesn't have enough power right now to need them.... The motor in the other truck might just find it's way into this one... That's the one with 400hp.

When you said above that one of your 99s only had the small block it made me wonder. The 2wd  sit much lower than the 4Xs.

I meant... On the white truck, there is a thinner block stacked on top of the tall block... And, the thinner block is the same as the one on my silver truck. 

I'd rather have a taller spring, and less blocks.

In thought you meant the silver truck only had the small block between the axle and the spring which made me think it was possibly a 2wd. Not speaking of engine blocks.

It's hard to tell from year to year... I can take a pic of the silver truck spring and block later, and compare the two... I went back and forth between them with a friend one day a while back... We both thought the springs looked a little different between them, but that block, with the snubber bump perch, we're the same... They just stuffed a big tall block between the axle and stock block.

I would think the bigger block would have been oe since it appears to be the same height as the 2 blocks on mine. Pure speculation on my part.

It looks like some one added 2" block on top of factory one and leveling kit up front. 

And maybe got rid of overloads for softer ride

The 1 inch block with overloads on top of the axle were a stock option

That's a lift block under the factory 2500 overload on top of the stock block that is not proper at all order. 1 piece lift block and new u bolts or leave it parked

That's what I meant in original post, I don't think I worded it correctly.
