I bought the truck in the pic.  It's a 99 dodge ram 2500 5.9 manual 4x4.  It had a 55 block swap and trying to determine the year of engine is in the truck.   Any help is appreciated!

If you take engine number off that Cummins plate, then call Cummins they should be able to tell you what it came out of.

  • @SavageTusk You can also do it through Cummins QuickServe.     https://quickserve.cummins.com  Make a free account and add the ESN.

When my 99 `s block cracked , Cummins removed everything from the 53 block and re installed it in a new 55 block with new piston rings and all seals , the engine id plate is on the timing cover that was re used , its off the original motor .

Only cost me 4300.00 for the labor , parts free , out of 100k Cummins warranty , 12 yeas ago , still hurts
