So as it says, more weirdo readings on my quadzilla. The temperature was going up to 204°, then would go to -40,then back to 204. I figured my cts was junk, so I replaced it. Didn't pay much attention to it these three hell filled weeks with it.

Well, I drove home to NM from North Dakota yesterday, and noticed it was still doing the same thing. Up to 204,then -40. Then back to 204. Is this normal? Or?

204*f is the highest the ecm reports.  Above 204* it sends out hex of 0, which translates to -40*f.

Nature of the beast.

If you figure from -40 to 204 That is 255 degree (have to count zero too) span which is exactly FF in hexadecimal.

Strange though the OBDII port reports correctly all the way to 240*F. This is part of the CCD Network. Where the Quadzilla is on the ECM CANBus.

Weird, but ok. As long as it's normal.

%100 normal.

At some point in the late 90's there was a meeting.  for some reason they decided to not allow higher than that on the engine bus, but they did on the obd and ccd bus.

I dont understand why, but it is the way it is.
