Does the head end of fuel injector line have some type of Teflon grommet or is a metal to metal contact.

Could I clean up the cross over tubes and replace the o-rings and re-use them. I cleaned up cross over tube for #1 cylinder. It is pitted.

It's all metal to metal, I have used a 2000 sandpaper before to clean up my lines, because someone over tightening before and put a groove in them, but I've never touched crossover tubes where lines or injectors mate. You can clean them on the outside with no problems.

I stil run the oe ones in mine. I just clean them up with a scotch brite on the mating surfaces, new o ring and stick them back in.

I have since replaced my cross over tubes since the old ones were starting to really sit deep into the head. I would use Emory cloth or the finest sand paper you can get your hands on, and take it easy with the sanding, smoothing out a surface is great, but making a high pressure leak is another thing..
