A week ago my wait to start light would flash when i turned the key on but would not power the grid heaters. I replaced the relays and the IAT. Now the truck is throwing codes P0382 P0380 P0237 P0341 P0113. I know what the codes mean but I was hoping someone had experienced this and could help with the diagnosis. Truck is running rough intermittently, at idle it is pretty rough and when driving it is hit and miss. I started the truck about an hour later and now the check engine light isn't on but it is still running rough. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Could be a problem with the ECM.  But before I sent it in for repair I would check/clean all connections to it.

I just replaced the ecm a couple months ago.

The cam sensor can make the truck run or not all. Of course it is not an easy to change since its behind the VP. Did you clear the codes after previous repairs? Do you know what caused your ECM to fail the first time? If something shorted the old one and you did not fix that, you could hve damaged the new one.

The last ecm was fried, it had an internal fault code. The shop I had it at checked all the grounds and went over everything and said it was all good. Now the wait to start light will sometimes work and then will just flash once other times. I’ve also got another code p0563.

Anything abnormal on your volt gauge? It should sitting on the 14 or a little above. Might ought to check it with a volt meter, engine running. Dont believe the ECM is going to like to much voltage. WTS light is controlled by the ECM. Will the truck start?

Did anyone discover what kind of internal fault brought down the ECM? They all fail internally from different things.

Voltage is normal, right at 14. Truck starts right up every time, just runs and idles rough. I proved the ecm for voltage to wait to start and when it would just flash I was only getting 4 or .4 volts, can’t remember it’s been a week or so. Now that it randomly works and then doesn’t has me confused. The shop couldn’t find anything wrong with the truck when the ecm went bad.

Yes the ecm is under warranty, my biggest thing is finding what is causing this to happen. What’s the best way to go about trying to find the issue?
