I’ve just about got all the pieces to put an he351ve in my 98. I’m gonna be using a banshee controller that will take care of the exhaust brake functions. I need a momentary switch to activate the brake. It will need to be wired up and have some kind of contact with the fuel pedal. I’m thinking a surface mount momentary switch will be best because I don’t want to drill a huge hole in the floor board. I want the switch to be closed when the button is not pressed instead of open when it’s not pressed. Is that just determined by which way I wire it? Anyone have a wiring for dummies book I can borrow?

Did you mount it to the actual pedal assembly or the floor under? I looked at pac brake and they have what looks like a floor mounted clicker switch

I was looking at the floor board and I just dont see a good spot to mount a switch. I feel like it would be best mounted like the brake light switch is but really not a good place on fuel pedal.

98,

Look where the apps is.  there should be a good way to mount a switch there especially since you don't have an AUTO.  The TV cable area should be open....    We always mounted the nitrous and fuel solenoid switches at the carb.  There was a lot more room than the throttle pedal area. (unless  you needed to hide it.  then you ran a TV cable on a manual and mounted the switch near the bell housing.  most people would not think twice seeing a TV cable at the carb.  even when it was a manual.)
