when you "used" to get 40 psi what changed?

What level are you running your tune on?

Build yourself a pressure tester for the turbo system. I think you might find a leak.

Boost leaks...

I took and removed my wastegate hose and not plug it. Then removed a manifold bolt from the manifold. Now with these two massive boost leaks I 'only lost 7 PSI and barely gained 100*F. of EGT's. Boost leaks have to be MASSIVE to make EGT's sore and loose lots of boost. Still making 40 to 41 PSI. The noise is VERY LOUD and can be HEARD!

As for loss of power check your wire tap. I had my stealth plate back up just enough to loose connection to the circuit board. It dropped me from 47 to 49 down to 32 to 33 PSI CANBus fuel only.

To go from 40 psi to 15 is a massive drop. Either his turbo ingested something and ate the blades or he has a major leak somewhere, don't you think?

Boost leak would be very loud. With that amount of loss. That large amount of boost lost you should hear it no problem.

Compressor wheel damage would be loud too. Being I accidentally fed my turbo hose clamp years ago (Hose clamp fell into the BHAF).  You can hear this happening. Boost was dropping and the compressor was making a LOT of racket. Needless to say the turbo quit making boost and the boost was mere 8 PSI by the time I got back home.

Here is a piece of that hose clamp.

I had a thought.  OP what level are you using?  It almost sounds like he is using lvl 1, which is valet mode.  That would account for the sharp drop in fueling resulting in a sharp drop in power and boost.  the default %50 valet mode would only make ~10-15psi.

Had it on ten and after running it a bit around no its hesitating

Was running just fine till I plugged my phone on the USB port that it had

You plugged your phone into the USB jack?

  • Author

The USB port for the adrenaline

Have you unplugged the box from the main harness and plugged it back in?

  • Author

Yes and its still doing the same thing

Are you still plugging the phone in ?  That USB is for data writing to the box, when the plug is installed the box goes into boot loop mode and will not work.

Quadzilla should be hooked to a PC for firmware updates. Not your mobil device.

Now for tunes you need to download with you mobil device and use the import function. (Apples tend to have issues here).

How can I get it off boot loop mode??

I don't know.  I have never seen a phone plugged into the box.  Id call quadzilla.

  • Owner

Technically it should actually work. There is cords that convert to a normal USB A plug to USB C so people can plug in memory sticks, mice so forth. Which ive plugged in mouse to my phone and works, even plugged in a keyboard. It worked too. But I would never consider plugging in my cellphone to the Quadzilla box. Kind of fruitless to do such being the only thing that port is used for is firmware upgrades. Problem it requires Windows to run the software to do the upgrade. So plugging in cellphone wouldn't be suggested.

Well I plugged the phone thinking it was the way to put the maps in lol. And I've tried to contact them and still no response ?

A tune must be uploaded through your smart device. Give us a call, and we will be happy to help you further.
