Anyone with a quadzilla use the factory tunes? I’ll be getting a tune from 1badvp44 here soon but in the meantime was gonna use the factory ones. I tow and daily drive and was curious if anyone had a preferred level for it. I’m coming from an edge juice that I usually left on 2 or 3. I picked up the quadzilla after many reads on here and Cummins forum. I have studied the tuning guide and I don’t have much understanding after reading it. My trucks a 98.5 with a 5 speed and stock tires with upgraded clutch and a FASS. With my edge, Level 2 was my tow/daily tune and 3 was when I was around the city, and of course 5 was when I was messing around. I don’t really have a comparison or suggestions on what level I should daily or tow in. Thanks

Any modifications done to the truck? I dont think my quadzilla came with any tunes but its fairly easy to turn.

Just supportive mods. FASS and southbend clutch. I have different power levels on the quad and can feel a difference with it, I was thinking it was a “ factory” tune on it already.

i wouldn't get too craxy with Timing until you get a set of headstuds copy your current tune in the format provided on page 1 and we will get you tuned up !

Levels 4 and up use wire tap. That’s if you’ve tapped the pump. If not the most you’ll get out of the tuner is level 3. Canbus fueling and timing. When towing keep it at level 3 or below. 0 is all stock. 1 is just timing I believe. And 2 is valet mode. Whatever percentage you put there will be the amount of stock fueling. IE if it’s set at 50% you’ll get half of the stock fueling from the pump.

Ok thank you, that makes it a little easier to understand. i usually have it in 3 or 4, my pump is tapped. when i had my edge on it I kept it tapped and ran it on level 3 most of the time.

TJ at 1badvp44 does good work. I had him write me a street tune just before my quad and ecm committed suicide. The truck ran much better than with any tune I had written.

I typically drive on level 3.

I'm not fond of many of the tunes I've seen, as they tend to ramp up aggressive amounts of fuel way too early and try to push the power out. My tuning aspect is more built around daily drivers, milder fuel curves, and main power is up above the 10 PSI or 15 PSI realm, nothing below that.

I bought a tow tune from him but it didn’t work. I’m still waiting for him to make the correction so it will work for me. Looking forward to it. Thanks
