Quadzilla Adrenaline with iquad installed!

  • Staff

So I finally pulled the trigger on an adrenaline for my 2001 3500. Im after mainly better fuel economy at this point, more so than the power that is possible.

Myself and @Mopar1973Man have discussed this at length and with his economy tune now installed in the quadzilla I will be doing my best to learn how to keep track of and log some milage numbers from my daily driven diesel.

This little endeavor started with Mike and I discussing his milage in the up and down terrain of Idaho. Here in Northwest Ohio the terrain is very flat so the speculations of higher numbers in this area arose. Now that I have the quadzilla installed I will be trying to track my milage closer to compare numbers with Mike's previous posts.

More to come. I'll will try to post something on this weekly since that is roughly my fill up interval as well.

lol Might try to get the name right... Mopar1973Man, there are no imitations.

I'll post up some info on my trip south. We (wife and I) are going to get rolling in a bit today, heading south. Taking a bit to get everything packed for an extended stay in the RV.

So, quick update. Its been a few days and 200 miles on the quadzilla. In discussing with @Mopar1973Man i realized I had the tune set on power level 7. I backed it down to PL02 and have noticed a difference. So far I have logged 200 miles on 1/4 tank of fuel. I will keep reporting back ad i gather more data.

Just gotta keep studying data as you fly low across the panel. You will find averages and things that your truck likes and dislikes. Just remember if you change settings that lower engine load and EGT's are a good thing. If you make changes and the EGTs and engine go up, then you are going the wrong way.
