hey im new to the cummins pickup world and im just wanting some advise on what ive done wrong on adjusting my starwheel and fuel screw i turned the fs in almost all the way and the starwheel up about ten to fifteen clicks and now fuel mileage is about half of what it was before like 8.5mpg not loaded

Welcome to the site.. I think you are in the wrong section....this is 24-valve powertrain related section

Check over in the 12-valve powertrain related section,..i am sure someone over there can help you out...

Your problem is the fuel screw. After you adjusted it you are dumping lots more fuel in at low boost than you should. Truck smokes at low rpms doesn't it? Try backing off the fuel screw some and see what happens.

maybe just a puff but not continous on the smoke but ill try backing it off bout half of what i turned it to see what happens.... but the exhaust smells pretty rich now that i think of it
