November 22, 201113 yr I just recently bought a 2004 (made in 2003) Dodge 2500 5.9 diesel truck. I want to do the valves. The recommend numbers I see on the manifold are .010 intake, and .020 for the exhaust. I see some of you guys are using smaller numbers. What alternate numbers can I use, and what advantages will it give. thanks
November 22, 201113 yr I take it these measurements are with the engine dead cold yes? cause i adjusted mine 10/20 slightly warm (not hot) and im still getting a bit of rattle, nothing crazy i just hear it.
November 22, 201113 yr I always let mine set overnight before I touch the valves but I think below 140 is exceptable.
