i have a 2001 2500 --has no pwer,misses,surges under accelration and blows lots of white smoke . checked codes has po230 and po234- . also when looking at data screen on scan tool has no cmp rpm but tach works fine. can you help me thanksED

P0230 - Transfer Pump (Lift Pump) Circuit Out of Range Problem detected in fuel transfer pump circuits.P0234 - Turbo Boost Limit Exceeded Problem detected in turbocharger wastegate.Ok. The P0230 mean that the current load of the lift pump curcuit is too high or too low. Too high is like when the rotor or moter shaft is seized or too low would be like the lift pump is disconnected.The P0234 is from the wastegate being rusted shut if stock.

I have been hereing a lot about waste gate rust up lately. Can you lube it with anything? I would think you folks up north would run across this problem, and may have a cure.

Hmmm... I've not had a problem yet... My wastegate is fre as a bird... I don't even have rust on my turbo yet. :confused:

I am new at this forum. I really need help on my Ram 3500 1 ton. It is a 2001 pretty much all factory. It is giving me a p0234 overboost condition, p0122, and p0500 along with the p1693. The truck has a new lift pump and injection pump. I have put a new cram shaft sensor( WOW) and a AIT sensor. This has gone off and on for some time, however this last time it wont go away. The truck hickups at 1500 RPMs and wont stop at all at any point unless at an idle. Where shouid I look next?

Sounds like it might be time for a new map sensor.
