I had an issue where my truck wouldn't move when put into gear until it warmed up. Someone here said it was a seal or pump. Well, I had it rebuilt and got a good deal ($850) from an in-law. After a couple of weeks, the problem is back. I usually warm up the engine so it hasn't bothered me especially since it works fine once warm. The question is whether or not it will damage the transmission as long as I warm it up? I'm reluctant to take it back since I got such a good deal.

oil is draning out of the tc when it sits , comon problem with the ram trannys no big deal it will not hurt your tranny more of a pain in the arss than anything

i live in Alaska, mine does this all the time, when it hits the -30's mine takes forever to warm up and get going, it doesnt hurt anything and its normal

Try warming the engine up in nuetral and see if it is better. From what I understand the pump is not moving the oil around in park. Mine will stutter as well if I let the truck sit for days. But, if I put it in nuetral for even 10 or 15 sec then she moves right along with no problems.

ide first see if it is indeed TC drain back, if so then you need a new check ball valve. If not then its something else.
