I've got LiveOak that is have a issue with smiley on IE9 I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue...

Hi Mike, Yet again, when I tried to post a thread.......everything was working great until I clicked on a smilie. Then my Explorer browser IMMEDIATELY locked up and ALL of the work I put into my post was shitcanned into oblivion. I had to type my post on my Microsoft Outlook first, and then cut and paste it on the website page. When I went back to edit my post and add the smilie, the smilies would NOT work when I clicked on them. I cannot believe that I am the only one who is having problems like this.

As for me I'm converted mostly to Linux now for web surfing using FireFox and Opera. But even back with IE9 on Windows Vista x64 I've never had the issues. (Speaking for me personally) Also posted with vBulletin.com in hopes to get a response... https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php/401119-Posting-Issues!-Smileys-and-IE9?p=2293083#post2293083 As for the rest of the family here I'm posting this to see if there is any other members with a crashing issues.

I also made a few tweaks too...

Remote YUI - I was using internal scripts now I'm using Google.

YUI is a free, open source JavaScript and CSS framework for building richly interactive web applications. YUI is provided under a BSD license and is available on GitHub for forking and contribution.

Remote jQuery - I was using internal scripts now I'm using Google.

I just posted and the post stalled for almost 90 seconds. Everything was froze up during this time. After about 90 seconds it posted correctly. Meaning I didn't have to do the cut and paste thing to save the post I had written. In the last 2 weeks or less I have had posts that don't stall at all and then others that do. I would say about 50% either way. Since the last upgrade in Java that I made on my machine I haven't had to do the cut and paste to save my post. Don't really know if moving up one upgrade to 7.3 made that difference but never the less since that time no cut and paste routine.

Hmmm... really odd... Anyone else? :shrug:War Eagle you might stir the pot and see if you can get other to respond to this thread and we'll keep pushing forward. :smart:

I have only made 3 posts, but withno problems so far. What was happening to war eagle is what I had been experiencing before. intermittant freezing, but it always posted. Have not tried the smileys yet.

For those of you using Internet Explorer and having issues you can change over to the old school editor in your control panel to avoid this issue for the time being. But I'm still working on the issue with vBulletin and going to try to get it resolved.

Can you elaborate on the steps required to do this?

Thanks! I'll give this a try and see how it works.
