oil in turbo

changed my oil and filter today. and when i removed my tube from my air breather , i seen some oil in the turbo. a nice film with a few drop where it had pooled a little. the turbo is stock with a little over 190,000 on it. thanks in advance for the help. and the truck has set for about one week

Could be seals are weeping. Maybe you have a worn shaft which could allow the seals to weep. If you are getting very much oil it will likely begin to coat your intercooler which will interfere with its ability to cool your charge air very efficiently.

not a lot of oil just a nice film. going outside and try to up load some pics thanks for the reply

Not really. Remember I run winter front on my truck so no wind blows through the intercooler without any issues with outside temp as high as 50-55*F. But still in all you shouldn't have oil in the intake because if the seal does give up you'll have a runaway engine to deal with.

    that makes sense. I was just curious if burning oil like from bad seals like that would make the exhaust temp go up. If the oil is going into the intake, wouldnt that be bad for the intercooler? Could the oil build up enough inside of it to plug it maybe?

    Oil in intercooler obviousy isnt good - but issue is like mike said - runaway engine. You need to pull the intercooler boot off and inspect the tubing to ensure all ok - shouldnt be any oil.
