Hi all,I need some advice on some factory style extended mirrors. I put a truck camper on her & a larger mirror would help make things a bit easier. If I went salvage yard hunting would I be able to find a good used set? Are there many trucks that had them. Seems like most the 2nd gens running around here have the small stock ones. What should I look out for? Easy install? Any aftermarket ones to stay away for or that you would recommend? Thanks,Dave

Nice looking mirrors.. Gives a newer profile look to your truck. With that new bed on there you will have to rub out your cab so the paint looks as white as the bed.

Thanks, John. I dunno if buffing/rubbing the paint will do it. Not 100% sure but even though the paint codes are the same, I don't believe that they're actually identical colors.. We'll see, though..

I have OEM manual tow mirrors. We drove outbound with the mirrors folded & so-so visibility around the camper. I meant to open them up. Ooops! So before we started back, I had the wife open them up & adjust them so I could see. The driver's side big glass popped right out in her hands. Several double sided tape mounts & dots of what appears to be clear silicone. She did an emergency duct tape repair mount... I didn't like how she did it & sure enough it was soon wiggling all around... at least the glass made it home. The cop never mentioned it & neither did I. I guess it's time to buy the powered mirrors.
