Call Erick Brown at Browns Diesel, he builds the Goerend trans for Dave and it will depend on what you want. I installed one and it will out shift any vehicle I have ever driven. (559) 867-1111 Tell him Seth sent ya.

You could always call them www.goerend.com (563)778-2719

Dave doesn't build transmission anymore. He got too many to do so now he only builds parts and that is why Erick and his brother Reb are building them for Dave now.

Cost all depends on how much power you want it to hold, and what you use it for. Not a really good way to get an estimate without a phone call. But I would guess a decent build for mod power and towing is 4-5K, and full race is 8K+.

I am going to call, just haven't had time yet. But I kinda thought 5k was in the ball park. My 05 just sucks, it has no pulling power. I was loaded and on a slite incline and it was just lugging like crazy trans temp went up quick. What I did was stop and backed up trying to jack knife my trailer a little and that was it, I thought I was going to have to get my other truck to pull it out.

Last I knew Dave had transmissions on his site listed for $3250 for a 'standard' build so you can figure probably about $4k for a good tranny. I got one of his earlier units and it had performed flawlessly for over 100k miles.

Dave does not build transmissions anymore, he refers you to one of his installers.Sent From The Outer Limits
