I recently put 100 horse scheid lightning injectors in my truck with plans on upgrading the turbo sometime. I've narrowed it down to a couple and i'm looking for some advice on what you think from y'all. I do daily drive this truck along with the county fair sled pull and some trips down the drag strip. First one i'm looking at is http://fleeceperformance.com/turbochargers/cheetah-turbos/holset-cheetah-turbocharger.html i'm just afraid that its not gonna be enough flow on the exhaust side. The last one i'm looking at is built by a very reputable diesel shop in Indiana, the guy owns three 2nd gens, when I talked to him he recommended a 64/71/14 which is based off the s300 they build them in house. Both turbos are within 50 bucks, any help would be appreciated.

I would stay away from a 64 mm, stick with a 62mm71/14 if possible it will give you a good all around for your needs and still be a good daily driver., you would not be happy with a 64 if you daily drive it. Scheid under rates their injectors too, what they sell as a 100 hp is closer to 125+.I have never seen the first one you listed th cheetah can't give any feed back on it, stick with an s300 base turbo. I have heard a lot of bad about the s330 frames. If you do any drags you had better have at minimum a billet output shaft in your tranny. You will be fine sled pulling but drags are hard on shafts./ you will be in the 500 hp range.

A 63/68/12 would give better spool and low/mid flow than a 71 turbine with a 14 housing, so a much better daily driven turbo and better top end compressor air. If you go bigger than 62/65/12 I would put manifold/turbine blankets on for DD use. The cheetah is a 3rd gen turbo.

Unless you plan on running 7x.011 or 7x.012 injectors, you don't need the 64. With "100 horse sticks", I'd go with a BD Super B (not a special)

Thanks for your input before I thrash on it this summer, I am pulling the tranny back out for billet input, intermediate and output. You are right about scheid injectors they are under rated for sure.

That is my fault, they just you that as a representative picture. To the right of there you can select 2nd gen or 3rd gen

My apologies, I understood the Cheetah to be a 3rd gen turbo based off of an HE351. It appears they have expanded the Cheetah line since I last searched them.
