I just ordered some 100 HP nozzles and picked up some stock injectors for a swap. I can't seem to find any good write ups/instructions for swapping the nozzles, torque specs, tips? Maybe 28 ft-lbs? Seems pretty straight forward but any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I was going to get SAC 100s but after talking to guy who just put them in, he said he lost mileage with SACs. That was the only reason I went VCOs, but now I have a spare set of injectors to play with :)

I see! I guess we'll see how my mileage does with the SAC 125s

I think my injector tubes have some debris in them, what's the best way to clean them? Air compressor? Blow from the tip or filter end?

From small changes is length of the pintle needle and/or seat depth. Maybe the owners shims are already worn too. That why there is different sized shims for tuning the pop pressure so that all injectors are evenly match in pressures. It's always being suggest in pop testing all injectors after nozzle install.

Hmm.. not sure I buy that too much. Then again I speak HPCR a lot better :-)

Getting the pop tested and calibrated is a good thing to do, but if they are good before the swap they would be good after .

timing settings from factory take into account the crank rotation in degrees it takes for the injector to pop at a specific pressure. if you have one that pops too easy then the injection would be advanced on just that one, or if one that pops at a higher pressure would pop later would retard the timing of combustion relative to crank position. Having all injectors pop within a given pressure ensures injection timing to be stable and correct. of course all this happens in a blink of an eye...

Are the rocker arms supposed to move like this? I checked the torque...27 ft-lbs and still movement, only 2 don't move like the video. Snug them? Video won't upload

They're in! Idles a lot smoother than the 60s, still have my stall issue when put into drive or reverse though...

Talk to Pepsi71Ocean you'll find out what he went through to resolve the stalling issues.

I think he said he replaced his crossover tubes, which might be in my future. But, since I don't know the history of my VP, it's suspect.

You might still catch up with him and find out exactly what was done and what worked and what didn't before you attempt to guess your way through the stalling problem. Like some people end up spending big money and not resolving anything.

I sent him a PM. But, I haven't been able to blow smoke at some times, even when I'm on the pedal and the rpms are low, which leads me to believe VP. I was also reading about setting the idle higher for the torque converter, which is a simple enough test and could be causing my stall.
