  2. Hi Everyone,I am a new diesel owner and just was poking around on the forum and saw a lot of guys use 2-cycle oil as a fuel additive in there trucks. I just have a few questions. 1) What is the ratio of 2-cycle oil to gallons of gas?2) How often can you add it to the gas? Is it an every other fill up type deal? Or is it something you always do?Any info on this subject would be helpful! Thanks.
  3. Does anyone know where the Joint Connector No. 3 is located on the truck? It has a few wires going to it including 4wd, horn and a few others. I am trying to trace a wiring problem with my 4wd and need to be able to follow the wire to this connection.
  4. I assume that both the 5spd and 4spd auto use the same computer and instrument cluster circuitry? If so can i alter the programming so it knows it has a manual and it doesn't throw the codes for an auto that isn't there?
  5. Hi Guys, I noticed that my four wheel drive light is always on but dimly lit. The 4wd drive actuator and switch are fully functional. I have provided the wiring diagram in the following link. The 4wd is switched on the ground side of the circuit. I have power after the switch but loose it before the abs sensor switch and at the 4wd light connection to the dash. i believe that i have a leaking ground, broken wire, or bad connection either before or at joint connector no. 3. does anyone know where this is located?   6. Thanks guys sure enough it was born as an 4 spd auto! Anything that i should be concerned about? i dont know who did the swap or where the tranny came from.
  7. How could i determine that? VIN? i looked up a decoder for the VIN but it didn't specify trans, transaxle or differentials.
  8. Hi All, I recently bought this truck. I checked for error codes to see if there was anything that required my attention. I got 4 codes... P0753 - 3-4 shift solenoid / trans relay circuit P0713 - trans temp sensor voltage too high P1763 - governor pressure sensor volts too high P1687 - no cluster bus message I am confused as to why i am getting p0753 because i have a 5 spd manual in the truck. Is this normal any insight on this and any of the other codes would be helpful. Thanks.
