Rodent Combat!!
In my shop, I have cardboard boxes with fiberglass insulated flex duct. I buy some stinky liquid fabric softener, dilute it and put it in a spray bottle, and just shoot it all over where those little bastards like to cause their damage. I also keep a monthly reminder starting in August to get after the mice with poison, traps and that stinky spray until the cold winter sets in.

6.0 PS Vs. 5.9 Cummins
That Serp brings back memories when I had a 92 E-350 with the old 7.3. I was going up I84 at the 3 corners of NY, NJ, and PA. Taking that big grade with the pedal to the metal, and that belt fell off and whipped around like a whip taking out hoses and wiring. So I had to call a wrecker, he said, "Where do you wanna go, Ford dealer?" I said, "No, to the nearest auto parts store." He took me there and luckily I had a helper with me who ran and got the parts while I did the surgery. I later changed the idler assembly that was always screwy on that van. Oh well, end of story.............

Cummins going down hill fast at 90 degrees
I guess he is lucky he was carrying such a heavy load that it allowed the frame to buckle over.

Big Blue
I told the new owner of Big Blue to visit your forum, so he can get some good tips on keeping her running. I am sure you would like to have her back any ways.

I guess I am a trator
I am a traitor too, but I still stop in and see what is going on:popcorn: I had a Freightliner with an ISB, I traded up for the simplicity and versatility of a Sprinter van.

Hiked some elevation on Sunday
A friend of mine actually was born and raised on rt. 214. I will ask him about the columns, it used to actually be an arch. There is a fire tower at the top of the trail. As for that plant, those shoots were very hard on the top, and that plant was past the 3500 mark. --- Update to the previous post... Ok, here is the story. 1 the trail leads to a fire tower so that was very significant back in the day. 2 The pillars that were once an arch were built for Camp Cloverleaf. I have some more pics of an old broken damn that used to supply the camp cottages. Enjoy

A warning for DIY AC repair
Yes, but how do you know it is a problem, unless you connect a high side gauge? You usually do not get a gauge and suggested pressures with the DIY kit.
