done it all man, when I say Ive either cleaned or replace and check continuity done it all. Every ground you can come up with on these trucks ive taken it off cleaned and or replace the ground wire completely. my question is...whats the fix? What does dodge say? Or is there anything official from them that im unable to find? Or did dodge just say screw it?

done the whole truck front to back every since wire harness ground and anything that looked like a wire got some grease.

trans is less than a year old, been dealing with this since 2009 that won't help, been there done it got the shirt and its still doing it. NONE of the bandaids list here or anywhere on the net have helped, Ive tested each and every wire for continuity, my truck has been sitting for a year now while I did all this and no luck. New battery cables both sides +- 3 or 4 speed sensors 2 complete pigtails for said speed sensor. filters, aluminum foil blah blah blah. Nothing works not even for a day. 3 different alts all returned, then had the original completely rebuilt. Timbo apps was my first mod, lasted about 3 months with that and here we are in 2017 i have a monster of a truck but the sumb!tch cant find a gear for nothing. Does ANYONE here know if this has been addressed with dodge? Thats the question that should be answered, not 22 pages of here do this or here do that. Whats the fix if this wasn't happening when these hunk of scrap metals rolled off the lots?

i have a brand new ATS trans with a lock up controller, still does it. Im about to ghost drive mine off a cliff. has anyone asked dodge the question...why?

I've done that and even had it rebuilt been through 3 brand spankin new ones

ive been looking for it since 2009.

3 different volt meters all connections all throughout the truck greased, just recently had the alt rebuilt with brand new everything from a reputable shop and he even let me watch him do it. He also has heard of this issue and doesn't believe its an alt issue. This is obviously a dodge issue isn't it? I mean there would have to be a recall or something. Ive spent way too much time on this issue and from what I read TONS have this issue. Whats the fix?

I find it beyond crazy that there is NO solution to this problem. What does dodge say about this? I know it an issue because EVERYONE knows the issue. Whats the solution? No bandaids please, ive tried them all.

Ive done everything listed here in this thread and then some. Still doing it and Im done. Anyone wanna buy a 2001 with 170000 miles brand new ATS stage 5 tranny and common bolt ons

yeah definitely doing a change before I drive it again. Thanks for all the ideas all who chimed in I learned a lot more using my volt meter and checking wires. Truck as of now not for sale hahaha

well I believe I may have figured it out. I kept getting the 0720 code for speed sensor so I went and bought a new one. Upon removing the old one I could see the magnet on the end was covered in very fine metal shavings (new transmission) so I replaced the sensor and drove for well over two hours and at least 10 key cycles stop and go traffic, raising and lowering the lockup speeds with the controller. Its yet to duplicate my issues so as of now Im gonna hope that was the fix. Gonna order some new amsoil tranny fluid and do a complete change and filter. Fingers crossed...

fuel pressure stays at 17psi only code I'm getting now it the 0720, the spitting and sputtering feels like the tranny in and out really fast or sometimes it feels as if Im stuck between shifts or stuck in a gear, pressing the accelerator does nothing then all the sudden it will "catch"

where would one get this miller tool? Ive never done this but I did trace all the wires and I confirmed continuity to the tranny harness. When this happens driving its like its spitting and sputtering rams drop tranny feels like its disengaging then suddenly grabs, gas peddle has no response at all.

all wires to the transmission have continuity, took it out for a drive again and it started doing it again. I got a P0720 code again for the speed sensor, putting another new one in today. Really tempted to sell this thing but I've got so much blood sweat and tears in this thing.
