Air Dog Raptor
I have the Raptor 150. Installed it with the big line kit. Night and day difference in the performance of my truck. Best mod I've done yet. It is a PITA to get to the top of the tank. Like Moparman said, sit up and you can see it better. You might want to think about taking the fender support screws out as well so your back doesn't look like a cat got a hold of you. Don't ask me how I know:rolleyes:

Choking at highway speeds
I hate to ask this but I am searched out and don't know what the issue could be. The last couple of times out my truck has developed a weird pulsating, choking, issue while driving. It mostly happens when I am going highway speeds 60-65 and gently get in to the throttle a little more to get up a hill or pass someone. This happens when towing and not towing. If i back out of it it will stop, If I roll into the accelerator more it goes away. It has become a consistent problem. It is the truck in my sig line. So far I 've gone and checked codes.(key trick) Got the 1693 Companion code, had the codes read at autozone and nothing popped up. fuel pressure is consistent at 16 psi when this is happening or not. Sorry, I hate to ask such a vague question but don't know where else to look.

Leaking transmission line
Hey everyone,My truck has developed a transmission line leak. It is from the fitting on the drivers side transmission line. (Looking up at it) I will try to post a pic. Anyways, I've read that those fittings suck, and was wondering if I can just replace it with regular transmission line and a hose clamp? Is there an o ring in these fittings that let go or are they just notorious for leaking. Any help would be great thanks.

Boost Fooler?
- Boost Fooler?
- Boost Fooler?
Hi guys, Well I am in the process of getting my gauges. (Boost Pyro, and tranny.) I put on my BHAF, adjustable boost elbow, and raptor 150. After doing some more research I realized I need a boost fooler. (Could explain the poor performance I am getting from the truck while towing. :banghead: loss of mpg and power?) I will more than likely get the edge comp for a chip but can't swing it right now. Plus I don't have the money on the backside to upgrade the tranny because I know I won't stick to running the box on level 1. Will this boost fooler work or should I look for another plug and play model?http://www.parleysdieselperformance.com/products/quadzilla-boost-fooler-for-1998-dot-5-2000-dodge-ram-5-dot-9l-cummins Thanks !- Ball joint time!
Yup, it was a PITA. I lucked out and had a couple of buddies come over and helped me knock them out. They ended up doing most of the removal, and all in all things went pretty smooth. 4 Hours total for 3 of us. Went and had it aligned and I feel like I'm running on rails! Haven't had this good of steering in a looooong time.- Ball joint time!
Thanks guys! I figured it would be a PITA. I do agree though after this time they will be easier!- Ball joint time!
Well my ball joints have finally decided they've had enough. 174,XXX miles I can't complain. I can complain about Dodge's ingenious idea to rivet them in though! So who has done this? Is it a huge PITA or not too bad. Truck is a 2wd dually. I found some moog joints from rockauto.com for $350.00 shipped. Deciding to do it myself or pay for it to be done.- Upgrades what'chya think?
Checked the tube from the air box and surprisingly it was clean. Ordering the BHAF now. On the tranny, when the time comes, I decided to go with Goerand. Customer service was top notch and answered my questions without trying to sell me a brand new transmission.- Raptor installed!
And they say texting and driving should be illegal!!!! Nice video and thanks for sharing. Thanks for the answers and I guess I'll be looking into a drawstraw.- Raptor installed!
Came home and double checked and it was dropping to 12 at WOT. To be sure we are talking the same lingo WOT is wide open throttle, correct? When I am in neutral or park and stomp on the pedal to 3K RPM it drops to 16. When going down the road and floored, the pressure drops to 12 for about 25 yards and then back to 13. As soon as I let off it went back to 17. Question #1 Are you guys going down the road and WOT testing it? Question #2 I am running it throught the stock filter. I also am NOT running a draw straw. Wonder if that's it? Question #3 On another note seeing as how I don't run down the road WOT is this an issue I should be concerned about? I thought I was done with fuel pressure issues...:banghead:- Killer Dowel Pin
My thoughts exactly.- Killer Dowel Pin
Thanks Mike!- Killer Dowel Pin
I know all about the KDP and how to fix it. My question, is there is a way to tell if you have the updated cover that eliminates the need for tabbing the pin? Thanks Truck I am talking about is in the sig.- Raptor installed!
Well, finally got the Raptor 150 installed, Vulcan big line kit, and my fuel pressure gauge. Idling and cruising down the highway fuel PSI is at 17, and WOT it drops to 13. Truck runs better and believe it or not it is even quieter!!! Now on with the rest of the mods!!!- Rubber brake line from Hydroboost
10-4 it has the factory style "pinch" PITA hose clamps!- Still hearing stock lift pump after Raptor Install
Cool, Thanks guys!- Still hearing stock lift pump after Raptor Install
Unfortunately no, I hear the Raptor and the "goosh" purging sound is one that I've always heard.- Rubber brake line from Hydroboost
Hello again,I noticed the 2-3 inch rubber line from my hydroboost is starting to split. Is this high pressure hose or what is recommended to replace it? Thanks- Still hearing stock lift pump after Raptor Install
Hey Guys, I installed my Raptor 150 pump the other day. Pretty easy and good instructions to boot. I have everything wired up the right way, however when I turn the key forward I still hear a gooosh, almost like something purging itself. I always thought that was the stock lift pump. I called the place I got the raptor from and the guy said I should not hear the old lift pump. Are there other electronics hooked up to the lift pump besides the Deutsch two prong connector? Should I remove the lift pump from the side of the block? Thanks
