  1. No high idle switch is not installed kinda afraid too at the moment giving what happened last time. Uhh I'll let my brother know it would be way worth it to dielectric everything makes life so much easier
  2. Ok so this is new we hooked up the battery's started just fine brother pulled out and drove down through the city at 45 mph little white smoke then cleared up. Got on the interstate ran 75 just fine made it home last night 5 hour drive no problems. All I did was made sure a couple connections were good. And reset the ecm
  3. I'm away from the truck right now. Yes the codes follow the switch no check engine was on before I touched it. Where is that solenoid located. It might off got bumped. I take it the iat and map send to the ecm then ecm to vp44
  4. Yeah I did touch the connections at the top all those wires I zip tied to them. There is that weird connection down by the iat sensor that sticks out any ideas on what that does. The truck is stock other then the FASS http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-powertrain/502120-got-code-p0216-p1693-pump.html#/topics/502120?page=1 found my problem but was never resolved for vp44
  5. Ok so yesterday I installed mopar1973man high idle kit on my brothers 02 dodge cummins 2500. I followed instructions black plugs go to coolent temp sensor and white plugs go to iat sensor. The iat sensor was not a easy as i though to get too. Next plug the white plug through the fire wall to see put the chip in and plugged it in. Grabbed my scan guage plugged it in to see if everything changes it did. What my brother noticed was white smoke bad. Looked up sure as you though check engine lights on. Looked at codes p0118 engine coolant temp circuit high input. P0113 air temp sensor circuit stays above 4.5 volts. And the worst one P0216 injection timing control circuit. Now I don't know if i bumped any of the other connections that may cause the vp44 code when my hand was down there. Keep in mind it has a FASS fuel on it and it runs 15-18 all the time. And the truck only has 60k on it also he just drove it 300 miles this weekend never had a problem till the other day when I put the high idle kit on. I don't know if this is an easy fix or not. I tried to clear the codes no luck. Scan guage said no response. So I unhooked the battery's and turned the key and lights on hopefully to reset the ecm and get rid of the codes. Don't know what's going on really hate to see him spend 2500 this weekend. I honestly believe I hit something I wasn't suppose too. Any help would be nice thanks.
  6. I see that now haha it said pulling manifold at the top then says stock replacement at the bottom I don't do anything bd everything they make is garbage in my opinion. I did a banks and I love it.
  7. It's got bolts missing it's been welded once for cracks previous owner. And I got it in the shop now I've upgraded the intake side why not the exhaust. I looked at stainless diesel. It's made for sled pulling. that doesn't means I can't put on. To me it just means it's not built for my type of truck. So what you guys are saying is changing manifolds are a waste of money and time? No real improvements
  8. Looking at a new manifold. It's between the pdi or dps. Pdi seems to be way good. Dps haven't heard to much from them what I have it's been good. About a $300 difference. I don't care for bd or ats or afe. Steed speed is another I found but they just seem like they offer a good warranty that's it.
  9. Thank you this is good to know in case my ever goes bad.
  10. If you don't mind me asking what does a replacement ecm cost?
  11. I've heard that too. I've never seen it happen. Any problems with your fluid
  12. Any problems. How many miles
  13. I'm torn between the Lucas since it's got all three and they have a pretty good reputation. Or the valvoline transfer case fluid I've been running valvoline for years with no problems but I doesn't really say what's in it. I think it's more for the ford xl-12 and gym auto trak
  14. I got a seal that was bad so my intervals pretty well checked. I've never heard of section oil. I'm surprised you running atf+3.
  15. Since I got the trans out and transfer case I decided to change the fluid. I know we talked about it on here. It takes dexron 2-3 or atf+4 but there is just so many out there you can't tell what's good anymore. What you guys running or have you ran these and any problems thanks.
  16. Alright sounds good thankS. I don't think my tcase has a spot for the QK but I'm gonna find out. Makes sense so for that to work. It needs to go into the transmission with the flap up and on the passenger side. Flap down wouldn't be as effective?
  17. Thanks Yeah I saw my vent line kinda weird place haha. I found that photo of a cooler with it maybe it won't work
  18. Alright good tranny had the wrong size shaft just wanted to make sure they sent it with the right top. Wait so you only have one fast cooler not two. Not one on each side. I thought the QK would slip inside the Fass cooler. IMO I would benefit from both just like your engine having bypass filter plus oem. I figure it will have roughly 7 quarts of oil in it. Nv4500 takes 4 quarts? Plus coolers is 2 quarts. Plus one in the top for overfill. 7 total. What do you guys think?
