Honda civic overheating
Hey guys i know its been a long time since ive been on but ive been working about 65 hours a week for 7 days a week!! Since my truck is down i have been driving my trusty ol 93 honda civic with a 1.5l non V-tec and this morning i noticed that the temp gauge was well above where it noramlly rides!! So i turned on the heater and it dropped down where it noramlly runs and it was blowing hot air. So then i turned off the heater and it slowly rose back up even doing 70 mph down the highway! It wont drop unless the heater is running. So im thinking a stuck thermostat??? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!!

2005 Dodge Durango Stalling
Alright folks my wifes new vehicle is a 2005 Dodge Durango 5.7 and its been in and out of the dealership since we bought it a month ago!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead: So Im lookin for some help!! When she runs it thru the automatic car wash and the water runs off the windshield towards the hood and the engine will start stumbling very bad and will stall if you let it. The dealership has replaced the cowl and cowl seal with the latest part the spark plug wires and the boots apparently that are separate from the spark plug wires.(never heard of a spark plug wire without a boot) So Im looking for some help since they cant seem to figure it out! Any help is greatly appreciated folks! Thank you.

Well I ran thru the diagnosis process and everything checks out good! Thanks Mopar for the dummy proof step by step destruction's! It is a good thing to know that at least the electrical side is good, now I must save up the cash to order a new pump! Or p-pump??? Anyone on this site done this or have any experience with a 24v that's been p-pumped?

I called my buddy with his 2008 Chevy 1500 and with a tow strap we made it home!!!:banghead: Broke out the scanner and found a P0251 YIKES!!!:banghead: From what I found on this site that means I need a new VP44?!?!? Can someone please tell me I'm wrong??? If I'm not where is the best place to buy a new IP from? Thanks for the help in advance!

If she stops at a stop sign or in traffic the car will stop blowing hot air?!?:banghead: Anyone have any great ideas on where to start with this problem? Thank you for any and all help!

Oil pan removal
I pulled my oil pan off about a year ago and I was able to use a cherry picker and leave the oil pickup on. I loosened the engine mount bolts disconnected the intercooler plumbing and removed the fan and shroud and the oil pan came right out. I used a new gasket with some ultra black RTV and I believe the torque in the oil pan bolts was 25 foot pounds. Which I think is too much because the gasket started to squeeze out. I recommended just using Ultra Black RTV and just use the old German torque. Good luck.

NV5600 rebuild
Well chllngr528 I would have to agree with you about the 100 ton press that is over kill! When I was younger I worked in a tranny shop and we had a 20 ton press that worked great on anything from small pickups to one ton trucks. I also just a few years ago helped a buddy build a T56 for his Camaro and we used a 20 ton press and it worked great. The only thing that I know about the NV5600 is that the parts are hard to come by if you need any hard parts. I say go for it and good luck man!!!
