Greetings From Denver, CO
I couldn't agree more. I've been a member of this site for a few days now, and it's been more helpful to me in solving my issues than any other site out there. I'm just really glad I came across this site, needless to say I wasn't searching for it but, I am glad I stumbled upon it. With that said, I look forward to coming on here and being a part of the site. --- Update to the previous post... Funny thing also, I tried registering on CF and couldn't become a member because of the stupid captcha thing or whatever, after several attempts of putting in the same word, detail by detail, I decided to e-mail the guy and I was a little irritated and may have slipped a few "not so nice" words. Never heard from the guy so, I said screw it. But, yes I did notice some of the threads on there said some pretty insulting comments and remarks. I figured by using some of the words the member on there had said, they would let me in. Unfortunately, i wasn't so lucky...

Scan Tool
Sorry, I should have been a bit more specific, my fault. I know OBDII can read all 1996 and newer vehicles. What I meant was, is the DRBIII specific to only Chrysler products? Again, my fault.

I just don't wanna ask too many questions... but the good thing is, we can all get something out of it.

Now, is this only on Chrysler products?

That will be my next investment. If i drive the truck, and don't clear the codes, is there a risk involved?

Yes, i did re-calibrate the new sensor. The instructions provided said to repeat the re-calibration process 3 times (Timbo APPS). I only had the batteries unplugged during the APPS process, which took only 20-25 minutes.

Scan Tool
That is what i'm looking for, something inexpensive such as the one you have. I can probably snag one from Matco next time i see him. I was just curious as to what sets the DRBIII apart from the rest but, priced at a little over $6000 i can pretty much guess why.

So, i have just installed my new APPS that i received in the mail the other day. Everything checked out fine, truck idles smooth, CEL turned off, and everything except, i cycled the ignition for the heck of it and noticed all 3 codes i had listed before are still there. My questions are...- Am i back to square one?- Do i need to manually reset the codes?- Will these codes reset over time by themselves?Any help is appreciated. Thanks,Dave

It's good to know we're all mature here... where as people don't feel insulted by others when asking a question. I like that about this site.

Scan Tool
I didn't know where else to put this so, this is as close as i get it to the topic. I was reading through the code list thread and for testing it says "With DRBIII Scan Tool". How do i get my hands on such an expensive tool like that when they are priced over what i can afford? Are there other scan tools like this one that maybe Snap-On, Matco, or Mac Tools has?I'd really like to get my hands on one of these and have been wanting one for a while now. Thanks,Dave

Unfortunately, no i haven't gotten any toys for it this year. I've only had it for 2 months, and still haven't done emissions on it yet. Anyway, to make a long story short, i was on my way to do emissions on it and was halfway there when all of a sudden i ran into some issues that triggered the CEL on. I don't know about other states here in the U.S. but, in Colorado you can't do emissions with the light on from what i hear, but i could be wrong.I know this thread is in the wrong place and yes, i will post up in the correct one. I'm just on here as a result of what happened looking for answers, and thanks for the welcome everyone. Thanks again!
