  1. The starter turned the engine over just fine, just won't start. The truck isn't there today, maybe it's ok or on a rollback. He knows the boss where I work, maybe he'll call.
  2. Tried to help a fella tonight. He'd put 10 gal. gasoline in his '02 Dodge/Cummins.We siphoned all the gasoline we could, drained the fuel filter housing, pre-filled the housing with clean diesel fuel & installed the new filter & o-ring.Upon cranking on the starter, it wouldn't start or kick or anything. He said he'd run it from 1 exit to another...maybe 4 miles then it quit running. No Check Engine light & no codes or pending codes.Ya'll think his injector pump is junk?
  3. Mine is a 60mm Borg Warner 6 blade. Ol'Headcase probably knows the lbs./min. rate but it's a good bit. Whistles all the time too. http://s131.photobucket.com/user/Clunk_/media/truckride.mp4.html?sort=3&o=16
  4. My hybrid is 60-60-14 w/6 blade compressor. It bang spools w/Jammer 100's & Comp. 5x5, 1400F WOT on the test hill.Looks like 140's would spool quicker but have hotter WOT exh. temperatures.
  5. I have lots of injectors, including one set I got ripped off on. At least the shims are still good.:cool:I was kinda hoping someone would know an easier way to check compression.
  6. Looks like you could take the guts out of a stock body & nozzle, weld up the side holes then drill & tap the top for a nipple then adapt it for a pressure gauge....I guess a hold down would need to be acquired then drilled for nipple access.Lots of trouble just to check the compression isn't it?
  7. They claim it's an injector tester but I don't think so. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DIESEL-FUEL-INJECTOR-TESTER-ADAPTER-5-9L-CUMMINS-WITH-24-VALVE-ELE-INJECTION-/261215973677?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item3cd1af712d&vxp=mtr
  8. Yup, that would be the Miller 8301 adapter.
  9. I snug the hold down, then snug the fitting, then a little tighter with the hold down then a little tighter with the fitting, finally torque the hold down then torque the fitting. After 7 nozzle and/or pop pressure changes, the stock bodies & tubes still hold.
  10. First off #1, thanks Michael for brainstorming & starting this project!Ok, picked up another .6 mpg and raised speed from 63mph to 65mph.All improvements were indicated on the overhead, that's why I don't post actual/total mpg, just changes.Regardless, I'm going to keep the resistor in place for now.
  11. Ok, thanks Michael! I'll report what I get just the same. - - - Updated - - - Ok, I got a .9mpg improvement although there were less redlights & stop signs on this trip than normal. Tomorrow will be 90 miles much like today's route so it'll be more apples to apples. Good news, my regular fuel stop is adding 5 to 20% Bio to their fuel.
  12. So we're still using the 2.2K ohm, 1/2 watt resistor IAC fooler, right?
  13. Hi Gang,I installed the 2.2K 1/2watt IAC resistor tonight.Gotta drive about 60 miles tomorrow. I'll see if the overhead mpg average changes much.
