BuyingEngine oil in the 55 gallon drum

That's the problem I've got with my two barrels of fuel they are stored outside and cover with a tarp. Eventually the moisture with take its toll.

I almost scored a few of those heavy duty blue plastic barrels from work but missed my chance. Dang it!  

For bulk gas storage do you buy ethanol free or add any stabilizer?

So can I leave the hand pump in/ on it if I have a cap on the end of the pump?

 

 

Update; took the hand pump back to the farm store. It had rust in the draw pipe and the threading on the pipe required you use Teflon tape to make the piping snug because there where no tapered threads. The couplings would bottom out all the way. It was bad especially since I did not want Teflon fragments in my engine oil. So I made a barrel rack, placing the drum on its side and using a water spigot. This turned out to be the best option as the drum had a 3/4 inch fitting for a spigot. Only I really used a 3/4'' ball valve instead of the water faucet. Works nice.
