I ran across this thread and thought I'd move it along through the forums. Seems someone has found a way around the problem of no more existing OEM engine fans. Anyone still struggling to look for one may find his information helpful.

I have to agree but I have never heard of this being a problem. Evidently the poster did have and found a reasonable solution. Is this a problem you have seen in other forums?

Apparently it may be.  I've read a few forums where people are desperately looking for the stock fan but they just dont exist anymore.

I did a little looking a round and the only one I found was $460 for a used one. I cant get into that. Probably need to do a little inspecting of the one I own. I could sell it and have enough money to do what the other fellow did and have some extra cash.

i saw a youtube video where a guy used a flan clutch from a v10 and the fan from a ford..... i'm searching for it now...

found it... but it's for a 06.. not sure if that matters...

 

Interesting.....  I thought the 3rd gen fans were still available but couldnt be used in the 2nd gen because they're reverse rotation.  This guy chose to eliminate the 3rd gen electric clutch fan too.
