Lug nut torque

(5pages when searched here on term lug or nut.  But not "lug nut torque).

 

Service manual states 135 for 2500.

 

135 I hope isn't a typo.  Does 135 sound right for stock alum rim?.  To me sounds like to much.   135 a good number?

Typically I do 120 foot pounds. Most tire shops are the same way using 120 foot pounds.

I have used 135 on my stock and 3rd gen wheels. I travel 1200+ miles every other week to Colorado and back to New Mexico. Lots of towing and never an issue.

135# is correct for a 2nd gen. 

 

3rd gen's go to 145#. Dad's had them come loose at 120# on his 06.
