I have had the dead pedal or atleast partal dead pedal. It will run along fine then dead pedal on me so, I turn the key on/off and it acts like it didnt happen. Bought a new apps sensor. Didnt fix it. Low voltage about 2 or so. Did the W/t mod. Hoping it was a ground. I had metioned I had a code Po 2016 injection pump timing. It is a brand new pump 150 miles so, I said no way but I was told to use some Atf. I finished the W-t mod replaced the fuel filter 1/3 of the atf with the filter rest in the tank. Ran it for 10 mins drove it 10 miles it dead pedaled only on time. Much better it was doing it everymile. Today it still did it twice. Put on the scan tool and got the po2016. So is it the pump after all? Anything else I can do. I am installing a fuel pressure gauge this week.

Where did you get the pump? It can be bad out of the box. The 216 code and your issues paint an ugly picture. I would not however run ATF thru the fuel. Try some TCW3 2 cycle oil. It is much compatible with the fuel system. The pump is lubricated by the fuel so the ATF is lubing the timing piston which is most likely try to seize and is to a degree.  If it s that new I would warrantee it back to seller.

Typically I never buy injection pump based on price Thoroughbred Diesel sells cheap but I don't think they are a quality rebuild. You not the only one I've heard of pump issues from TD.

I typically find vendors like DAP. I actually check into where there pumps come from and if they are a Bosch Certified Rebuilder with a Bosch 815 test stand for PSG programming and flash. Being a true rebuilder ALWAYS starts with a fresh PSG and has to be ran on the test stand for like 3 hours and then the PSG flashes the PSG with all the calibration and settings.
